Happy Holidays A la Winnie & Walter

Hi there! Crystal h ere, on this Friday eve with a fun card made with Winnie & Walter In A Word: Happy stamp set and Dies. It has been a couple months since I have been on the Butterfly Reflections Blog, so I am super excited to share this card with you.  I was so excited, I made it in two tones! Traditional Christmas Colors  More of a Winter theme.  To start I die using In A Word: Happy from a white piece of cardstock. Next, I stamped the words happy in various shades of blue from Altenew in Ocean Waves, Dusk, Desert night and Persian Blue. Next, I heat embossed the "holidays" using WOW gold glitter embossing powder.  The shaker is then filled with Pretty Pink Posh Gold Stars and finished off with Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti.  The traditional colored card was made the same way, just the colors were changed up a bit.  Very festive, right?! Hope you enjoyed it, I enjoyed making it! 'Til next ti...

Hello

Hello, friends! Crystal here with my official last post as part of the Butterfly Reflections design team member. So I figured it ever ironic to make a card saying Hello since it's never really a "goodbye" but a "see you later". To make this card, I began by masking each side of my card panel, then stamping the floral background using Honey Bee Stamps Zen Bouquet in Altenew Deep Iris Crisp Ink. Next, attached silver thread to the "hello" from Winnie & Walter . This was attached to the card base using foam adhesive and topped off with Pretty Pink Posh silver confetti. I really like how the sentiment does not takeaway from the beautiful background stamp. I hope my tenure here has been a source of inspiration. I absolutely loved being part of this great team and working alongside Vanessa. Thanks again for a fantastic term, Cheers! Crystal

Sephia Birthday Wishes

Hi, friends! Crystal here today with a stenciled card featuring  Winnie & Walter products and Altenew. For this week's blog post I wanted to create an elegant birthday card without my "go-to" black and white. As mentioned earlier this beauty is a combo of two wonderful companies. Winnie & Walter "birthday" die cut, and "happy" stamped sentiment. From Altenew I have the Floral Fantasy stamped in Altenew Crisp Dye Inks in Green Fields. Also from Altenew is the Layered Kaleidoscope Stencil B blended with Altenew Crisp Dye in Mocha.  To make this, I began with a beige card base. Next, I stenciled it with A ltenew Layered Kaleidsocope B. I proceeded to spray this with gold watercolor from Gansai Tambi. Once that was dried, I stamped the "happy" from Winnie & Walter's Happy Birthday to You in gold embossing powder. The "birthday" is die cut from Winnie & Walter In A Word: Birthday Cutaway . This was l...

Thanks

Hi, there friend, Crystal here with a very simple yet stunning card featuring  Concord & 9th and Altenew newest releases.  I was inspired by this color scheme found on Pinterest . To make this, I began by stamping Altenew Floral Fantasy in Altenew Crisp Inks in the following sets, Cool Summer Night for the leaves, Red Cosmos for the pink flowers and Summer Afternoon for the yellow tones. Stamping the flowers came first, then the leaves. The sentiment is Aloha from Concord & 9th July release. Heat Embossed in white on black cardstock and adhere to the card base with foam adhesive. I am pretty pleased with the way this turned out, and I love how Pinterest can be a source of inspiration. Thanks for stopping by today! Crystal

Altenew Prayers

Hello, friends! Crystal here on this Friday with a card made with my newest Butterfly Reflections haul.  As I try to beat the heat and stay inside, I created this card using one of Altenew's newest releases, Floral Fantasy.  The minute I saw this, I knew I had to have it, and well it somehow made its way to my little hands. Anyways, this is my card: It was very quite simple to create. First I began by splattering gold Gansai Tambi Stary Colors, next I stamped the flowers in Altenew Inks, Frayed Leaf, Evergreen and Forest Glades. The blue flower is stamped in Cool Summer Night set of inks. The leaf is stamped in Altenew Sand Dunes. These flowers were of course layered and finished off the prayers sentiment from Hero Arts die cut in gold card stock. Pretty Pink Posh Gold Metallic sequins added some more gold touches to this. What are your thoughts on Altenew's newest release? Thanks for stopping by! Crystal

Hurray & Hello Lovely

Hello lovelies, Crystal here with my Friday Inspiration for this last Friday of July. Sure seems Summer just got started and all I see around me is the back to school sales and advertisements. To keep my mind off it, I am thinking of all those upcoming fall weddings and birthdays. Shades of Gray seems to be the perfect fit for both...To make this card I am using two of my favorite items from Concord & 9th, Hurray stamp set, and Hello Lovely stamp set. To make this card, I began with my gray cardstock as a base, then stamped in Altenew I ndustrial Diamond & Dark Graphite the pattern from the Hurray stamp set. The sentiment is stamped in Dark Graphite. Next, I stamped the floral from Hello Lovely and fuzzy cut that. Adhered to the card with foam adhesive. Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins were added and a touch of white gold watercolor from Gansai Tambi Starry was the finishing touch. I love the minimalist look of this card. Thanks so m...

Say it with Florals

Hi there! Crystal here with a very floral card featuring the newest release from Pink Fresh Studios! This set is absolutely gorgeous and really fun to work with. The various petals allow for layering and the variety of sentiments are awesome.  To make this card I began by trimming a yellow card stock to be my background. I stamped the sentiment in black ink. Next, the white card stock was die cut with Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders Die. Now to the fun stamping part: All flowers were stamped with the following Altenew Crisp Inks in alternating order. Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Caramel Toffee, Paper Bag. The leaves were stamped in Olive and Moss .   I simply love one layer cards as they don't require extra postage. This pattern of florals reminds me of sweet summer days. That is all for me today, I hope you enjoy the weekend and get some crafty time! Crystal

Thanks A Bunch

Hello, Friends! Thanks for joining me on this beautiful summer morning. Today I am playing around with Concord & 9th Petals & Pallets Stamps & Dies.   These beauties have summer written all over them and I thought they would be perfect for a series of thank you cards I needed to make for the ladies that made it to my baby shower. To make this I began by stamping the wood grain pallet using Altenew Rocky Shore Ink . The pallet was stamped multiple times using the MISTI as I made at least 6 of these cards. Next, the Hydrangeas (that's what I think they are) are stamped i n Altenew Midnight Violet and Deep Iris and die cut with the coordinating die along with the leaves. The sentiment was stamped on kraft cardstock with Altenew Midnight Violet and trimmed to size. That is all for me today. Thanks so much! Crystal

Succulent Friend

Hi, there friends! Crystal here on this awesome Friday with a gorgeous and fast card made using my newest purchase from Butterfly Reflections, Ink. The newest release for Pinkfresh Studios is so beautiful and this set called Simply Succulents just had to be in my collection. I love simple stamping and coordinating dies were a hit! To make this card I started by stamping the bases in Altenew Crisp Ink in Mocha. The succulents are stamped in Altenew's Forest Glades, Frayed Leaf, and Evergreen . The sentiment is stamped in Altenew Expresso.  The Simply Succulents coordinating dies are die cut in DCVW gold glitter card stock. Sequins are Pretty Pink Posh Gold Metallic. I love the simplicity of this and could very easily be made in a set with different sentiments. Thanks so much for stopping by! Crystal

You are Beautiful

Hi there friends, Crystal here on this awesome third day of Summer with a simple and fun card that is sure to cheer up a friend. For this card, I selected Altenew Perennial Beauty ! To make this I started with Crate Paper 6x6 pad named Gather . Next, I trimmed a white cardstock to be centered on the card and stamped the sentiment in Altenew Jet Black .  The flower was stamped using Altenew Perennial Beauty in Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Ruby Red & Grapevine. Leaves are also stamped using Altenew Crisp Inks . I decided it would be fun to have 2 shades of leaves. After everything dried up, I fuzzy cut and adhered to the card.  To finish this, I placed Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplet s . I love how simple this was to make and it turned out very pretty. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Crystal

Bold Lovely Hello

Hi there friends! Crysta l here today with a simple card featuring Concord & 9th, Altenew & Pretty Pink Posh.  The colors on this card were an inspiration from this week's Flag day. I recently purchased A ltenew Artist Markers Set A as I loved the brush tip on them, and the colors are perfect for color layering and blending. So with this in mind, I select Concord & 9th Hello Lovely image to color! To make this, I stamped the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely floral & sentiment on to a white piece of card stock using Altenew Ink in Jet Black . The entire floral piece was colored with Altenew Artist Marker Set.  Next, I added gold thread and gorgeous Metallic Gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh . To finish the card I placed it on red card stock and added details with a white Signo pen.   This card is ready to be sent out, I loved how bold the colors are, and yet it turned out elegant. Thanks for stopping by today! Crystal

Pastel Green Prayers with Crystal

Hi there crafty friends! Crystal here on this gorgeous Friday with a card made featuring the newest release from Concord & 9th , the all time favorite sentiments from Honey Bee Stamps , confetti & Scallop dies from Pretty Pink Posh and the Lawn Fawn 's Stitched Trails die.   About a week ago, I saw a photo on Instagram from Concord & 9th showing how the blooms could be easily separated. That was the end of my self control and ordered these babies from Butterfly Reflections. To make this card, I started with a patterned paper from "Gather" 6x6 paper pad trimmed to size. Die cut right in the center with Lawn Fawn "Stitched Trails" Lawn Cuts.  On a separate piece of white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps "Prayers" Set using Hero Arts Pastel Green . Then stamped leaves from Honey Bee Stamps " Country Bloom " set using a gray ink. The ribbon was then created by cutting the sen...

Elegant Congrats

Hi there friends! Crystal here with a very unique card that can be used in many occasions. This card is now one of my favorites as it features lots of my favorite companies! Let's get started! First I started with a white card stock base. Next I die cut a black card stock with Altenew Dodec  . I selectively took out pieces and left some in place. This die cut was placed over a sheet of patterned paper from My Minds Eye "Yes Please" 6x6 paper pad. The ribbon is a sticker from My Minds Eye Yes Please   collection.  The "congrats" is a die from Winnie & Walter cut from My Minds Eye  paper pack. To finish a heart shape sticker was adhered with 3d foam adhesive to give this card some dimension. Due to the colors of this card, i feel it can be for engagement or wedding, even a bridal shower. Thanks so much for stopping  by today! Have a great day. Crystal

You Are Magical

Happy Friday friends! Crystal here with a very glittery card to make your weekend extra sparkly. Today I am playing with Waffle Flower Stamps Cross Stitched Unicorn s tamp set. This card was super fun and simple to make. I began by die cutting the white card stock with Pretty Pink Posh Scalloped Board Dies . Next, I stamped the sentiment using Altenew Jet Black Ink.  To follow, I stamped the unicorn and all the stars in various shades. Once I was done stamping, I wrapped the card stock with silver thread and adhered it to the pink glittery base. To finish I added Pretty Pink Posh sequins from their March release benefiting Compassion International. All products for this card can be found in stock on the Butterfly Reflection store. I was super happy how cute this turned out, and the stamping was very simple. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you have a fab weekend! Crystal

So Cool

Hi there friends! Crystal here with a "cool" card (no pun intended) made with Sunny Studio Perfect Popsicle. This Popsicle was screaming to be paired with Glossy Accents . Therefore I left the stamped imaged be the focus of this card. I decided to make a set of these as the sentiment was just super versatile. To make these, I stamped the Popsicle in 3 inks from Altenew in the following order Buttercream, Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee. Then I fuzzy cut and adhere them to the base of the card. The sentiment is stamped in Hero Arts Cup'O Joe. Of course we can't forget the glossy accents. On one card I placed the accents on the entire Popsicle and the other was just embellished with it. Both cards were embellished with Pretty Pink Posh Clear Confetti and Honey Bee Stamps diamonds. The background patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn. That is it for us today! Thanks for stopping by and  I hope you get some crafty time this weekend. Stay Cool! ...
