It's Your Birthday!

Hello, Everyone! It's Allison here, and I'm so happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog. Today, I am sharing a card using a mashup of several different company's products, which is pretty typical for me. I started my card by ink blending a rainbow of Distress Inks onto a panel of Bristol smooth card stock. Once I was happy with the blend, I grabbed this awesome Bokeh stencil set from Newton's Nook . I blended the same color inks over one of the stencils, and then I spritzed the panel with water to create some texture. To finish the panel, I cut it out with the large die from Mama Elephant's Frilly Window Frame die set and adhered it to a white A2 card base. Next I grabbed the Oversized Smile Stamp & Die set from Waffle Flower Crafts . I used the shadow die to cut a portion of my inked panel. I then cut 4 more shadow die layers out of white card stock. I layered the inked shadow on top of the white shadow layers and glued that back into positi

Fairy wishes

Hello crafty friends! It's Veronica here and today I have a very magical card to share with you. It's not a very structured card: I only needed some cute fairies from the Fairy Dance Stamp Set by Hello Bluebird and my Copic Ciao Marker . I added details with a simple white gel pen and stamped my sentiment with Versamark Ink to emboss it with white embossing powder. Finally, to assemble my card I chose white and fuchsia card stocks. I really hope you like my card and can't wait to share with you the next one! From Italy with love, Veronica

Smiley S'more Slider with Leontine

Hello! Today I wanted to share a slider card with the adorable Smiley S’more from the new Lawn Fawn summer release. I don’t own a die to create the slider for me, so I got creative and made my own mechanism. First I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the largest outside in stitched rectangle stackables . Then I placed the second largest small rectangle stackbles die in the center. I didn’t want to cut it all the way, so I made sure to keep the top sticking out from my cutting plates. Once that was done, I got a mini score board to score just the flap at 3/8, at 1 7/8 and at 3 3/4 inches. With my bone folder I creased those folds. I also needed to create a piece that would pull the slider up. I cut a piece of white cardstock at 3 1/4 by 4 5/8 inch. I rounded the top corners with a corner punch . To create a notch at the top of my card I used the let’s toast pull tab add-on set. I also used it for a little arrow to go on the top. Now that the mechanism was done it was time t

New Lawn Fawn with June BRI Moodboard

Hello my inky fingered friends. Davina here with a fun interactive camping card, using the new Lawn Fawn release along with the June Bri Moodboard colors. This months summery colors are lemonade , aquamarine, ultramarine, and flamingo. It’s always exciting or me when  LawnFawn  has a new release. And I’m embarrassed to say I buy most of it and don’t use it all. But, I feel like it is all must have stuff! This summer release is so fun with all of the tropical items and the great camping themed sets. The fun magic picture card that I made today features the new  S’more the Merrier  stamps and dies, as well as the super fun  Magic Picture Changer Die  and the  Add on  ( which gives that great frame to decorate). I’m not going to sugar coat it. This card took a bit of effort and time. I think that had I planned it out better before I started putting it together, it would have gone much quicker. I typically sketch out my cards before I get stamping, so I have plan for these busier pieces, b
