Neat and Tangled Valentine's Day Tag!

Happy Monday! Kim with you this morning and I can't believe Valentine's Day is around the corner, 2017 is going by fast! My project today features the wonderful Neat and Tangled My Favorite Nut stamp set and dies :) I thought the size and dimensions of the acorn with the squirrels was perfect to make my husbands Valentine's Day gift tag! I am in love with this set and the tag dimension is perfect. I colored the images with my Copics  and used more caramel colours for the bottom and traditional browns for the top. I decided on warm greys for the squirrels to make them stand out.  I then did some surgery for the sentiment because I felt the "you are my nut" represented the recipient well! Lol! I embossed the sentiment in white. I then felt the tag needed some hearts, so I used a mix of Lawn Fawn heart dies to finish off the tag! I used my We R Memory Keepers hole punch and then made the box out of Kraft card stock using my gift box punch board (also b...

Waving Hello With Lawn Fawn .....

Happy Thursday everyone !! Mayra here with today's post .  I am loving fairies and mermaids at the moment ... <3 as you will see with my upcoming cards .  For today's card I used the Lawn Fawn  Mermaid For You stamp set .  I began by die cutting two pieces of cardstock using  My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Rectangle dies  .  For one of the die cut pieces I used water color paper .   I knew I would be doing a bit of water color for the background . I used Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire ( other alternative can be Memento Luxe Nautical Blue )   Cracked Pistachio , and Peacock Feathers .  For the touches of gold I used Gansai Tambi in Bluish Gold .   As my water colored piece dried I colored in the images I would be using .  Then I die cut the scalloped base and banner from the  Neat and Tangled Scalloped Dies set  .    I then heat embossed the sentiment on...

Baby Tags featuring the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each! I used my  We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool  for the first time and loved it! I cut my own  Tim Holtz watercolor paper  to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer.  I stamped my sentiments that are by  Lawn Fawn Hello Baby  with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral  Distress Inks  and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron  Distress Inks .  I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things...

Avery Elle Viking and Copic Coloring

Hey folks! I am so excited to be a part of the new Butterfly Reflection's Ink Design Team that I'm speechless! Ha! Let me tell ya boys and girls, that's rare. Ask my kids. Before I share my cards with you, allow me introduce myself. My name is Cynde Whitlow and I live in Montana with my husband, four kids and one fur baby. The first picture I can remember drawing was a purple horse with a brown paper bag over it's head in Kindergarten. So, I've always been creative, but I've only been making cards for a year. I LOVE to share what I make. I hope I inspire people so they can be creative too! I have a blog called The Pink Envelope  and you are welcome to stop by and see my other cards there. Okey dokey, enough about me. Let's talk about the Avery Elle Viking Stamp Set . Seriously peeps? Have you seen this? I clapped my hands like a demented seal when I saw this! Not even kidding. Clean and simple is almost always first choice for me and this guy w...

"Baby" Gifting Idea

Hi crafty friends! Joann here with an awesome little project for you! I decided to make a gift/gift card holder, really for any occasion, in which will hold a gift card in the front pocket and maybe a cookie or some candy in the inside. I decided to go with a baby themed gift idea and use the Simple Stories Hello Baby 6x6 Paper Pad and the coordinating Bits & Pieces die cuts! I created and embellished a pocket on the front of a kraft paper bag in which I purchased at one of my local stores. I took the 2nd sized rectangle from the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn to cut my little insert which will hold the gift card. Finally, just placed a small clothes pin for another cute embellishment. This was super easy and I think turned out super cute! Hope this inspired you to create something a little different for gift cards. Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous Sunday! Dry Embossing Techniques to Try!

Hello!  Lisa here with another Guest spot here on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog, yay!!!  Today I'm doing something a bit different and focusing on techniques rather than a step by step project, so I hope you like it!  I wanted to take a product and really show lots of different ways to get the most out of it, and the biggest bang for your buck, so I went with one of my favorite products in Vanessa's store the We R Memory Keepers Embossing Folders (seriously, you have to click the link to see just how gorgeous these are for yourself).  There are many reasons I love these embossing folders , one being that they are larger than the normal embossing folders making them great for covering larger areas, two their details are gorgeous, and you get two in a pack!  So I have taken one of these embossing folders and am sharing a few ways to get more bang for your buck... Technique #1 Distressed Embossing: To create this look simply emboss onto colored cardsto...

"You make me SMILE"

Hi there, Joann here with another card inspiration! I came across the MFT Die-namics Lightbulb and I wanted to create something a little different! I literally stared at the lightbulb die and saw a hot air balloon...lol! Now if someone else has shared this, I'm sorry...but honestly I have not seen it used this way! So, here it is... I took my craft knife and created the open gap between the balloon and basket. Now don't judge my copic coloring, this is my second attempt and first time showing it to the world...lol! I had originally used 3 different colors (E11, E13, E15) but then I added E18 to add a little depth. For my balloon, I used a Jenni Bowlin chevron stencil with my distress inks . Now this is where I smiled...I've had some fabric thickers that I have never used, why you ask, because the inks I own never seemed to dye them right. Well I have a solution, Avery Elle pigment inks are just fabulous for this. The color goes on and stays on perfectly. I lov...

A fun layout!

Hello!  Danielle here with a layout to inspire you with!  Let me tell you a little bit about me first! I live in "sometimes" Sunny Central Florida (it's been awful rainy lately) with my fiancé. I have two fur babies that you will see often in my projects. Sidney a mini dachshund and Nash our Tuxedo Cat.  Crafty has been my middle name since I was little. Always, coloring or making something to keep me busy when I was young.  I have been scrapbooking and card making for a while now ( I truly lost count!).  When I am not crafting you can find me on my Scooter zooming around town and watching The Walking Dead!  Now on to the layout!!!  I used two paper pads Amy Tan - Plus One and Bo Bunny - Lemonade Stand , which you can find in the store. To accent my photos I was dying to use the SN@P 3 x 4 Cat Cards .  You know they are not just for pocket style scrapbooking!!!  You can use them on cards, layouts and more!  I chose a heart a...

Using my crafty stash to create for my little one...

Hey everyone! This is Kristy and today I decided to use some items from my stash to create some hair clips and hair ties for my little stinker! This Maggie Holmes die set made it SUPER simple!!! You can find it > HERE < I also used a piece of felt, an old shirt, some hair ties, a clip, and some thread. I used my Cuttlebug and my well LOVED plates to cut out all the pieces, I did have to add an extra piece of card stock as a shim. Then I used my hot glue gun to glue the pieces together. I used some thread to wind around the pieces, this will help hold them in place as you attach them to the clip. Simply add some hot glue to the clip and attach the smallest piece around the bow and clip. I also thought it would be cute to add a small silver heart from the We R Memory Keepers enamel shapes. You can find them > HERE < I followed all of the same steps for the hair ties. I love how they turned out! And so does my little ...

Quick cute cards...

Hi everyone, this is Kristy and I'm super excited to be here today! I'm always needing a quick card, so I thought I would put a few together. Here are the items that I used:  Ink Dauber: Mint Amy Tan: stamp We R Memory Keepers: Enamel shapes 6x6 paper pad: Lucky Charm Can I just tell you how much I LOVE these daubers?!!! I NEED them in every color! I used some plain white tags and "daubed" on circles. While the paint was drying I cut pieces of the lucky charm paper and attached them to the front of my cards. Then I used this fun Amy Tangerine roller stamp for a sentiment and to add some designs. Using some black crochet thread, I added a bow to the top of the tag. I attached the tags with some dimensional foam tape, and sprinkled some of these adorable enamel shapes around the tags! I love how they turned out and they went together so quickly! Vanessa, has multiple roller type stamps in stock! Click HERE to check them out! The possibilities...
