Beautiful

Hello! It's Shawna today with a 8.5x11 layout share.  This one came together fairly quick with the help of the Bo Bunny Forever Young patterned papers. Check out the 6x6 paper pad . The fun, bright colors are perfect for finishing up your beachy summer layouts!  I started out layering with these papers and added the large chipboard title.  I finished it off with some fun embellishments including the October Afternoon puffy clouds. The whole sticker set is really adorable!  After adding my journaling i still though it could use something so i did some stamping and also added some mists and sequins.  Check out the shop for tons of pretty sparkly sequins !  I hope you enjoyed this quick inspiration today and also that you have a great crafty week! Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations

Hello, it's Rubeena here today with my last card as Butterfly Reflections Ink's Design Team member. I've thoroughly enjoyed being on the team, getting to know the other members and Vanessa, and enjoying all the other perks. ;-) Soon the new team will be announced, and I hope you'll all give them a warm welcome. Today's card was really fun and easy to make. The front panel was created with the ink smooshing technique using a thin sheet of plastic. I used a few blue Distress Inks: Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon , Salty Ocean , and Blueprint Sketch . I dried in between colors with my heat tool and then finished the look with sprays of white pigment ink, gold and shimmer sprays. The new WPlus9 Starry Background Die is AMAZING because it not only cuts out stars but also embosses some. It's smaller than size A2 so I used it on the colored piece towards the upper left area. I removed all the little stars and added the panel to a white card base with foam tape.

Faux Watercolor

Happy Saturday, crafty friends! It's Marcie here, from Sharp Designs . Something I love about the cardmaking industry is that there are always cardmakers out there just thinking stuff up...new techniques, ways to use old product, stretching your supplies; it's endless. It's perfect for this particular cardmaker because then all the hard work is already done for me. Lazy cardmaking at it's best.  With that in mind, have you seen Jennifer McGuire's video on no-water watercolor?  I was intrigued and wanted to try it out for myself. I pulled out some of my favourite stamp sets from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink shop, and got to work!  I created two cards using a similar layout, colour scheme, and pretty florals.  After stamping my cluster of flowers from Watercolor Flowers by My Favorite Things , I flipped the cardstock panel over and coloured the back of the flowers with a Copic blender marker making sure to saturate it completely. Flip it ba

Wishing you...

Hello BRI Fans! Happy Friday! Piali here , I'm back with two Wplus9 cards! I love the new WPLUS9 release!! Here is my first card using the super cute Wishing You set. How cute are these bunnies?? Love the sentiments in this set too!  I created the background using Distress Ink and  Create a Smile  stencil. I watercolored the bunnies using Zig Clean Color Brush Marker. I also added few Diamonds are Girl's Best Friend sequins. Next card is for the  Fall... The Wplus9 Autumn Leaves set is simply amazing!!! Love that the set includes both solid and outline leaf images. The sentiment is from Grateful Greetings ,  I heat embossed it using the Ranger Gold EP . I created the background using different Distress inks , misted the ink stamps with water before stamping.  Then stamped the outlined leaf images using black ink. I didn't stamp them exactly on the top of the solid image...but slightly off. Love the look!! Hope you lik

Many Thank Yous with Heather

Good morning! Heather here, stopping by this morning to share some thank you cards I made with some new goodies I just received in the mail from Butterfly Reflections Ink .  It's also just a few days until the brand new Design Team gals take over - so I wanted to say a BIG thank you to Vanessa as well - I have so enjoyed my time on the team, and am forever a loyal Butterfly Reflections customer! I love the constant update of new stuff in the shop, the quick shipping, and the amazing personal touches - the little handwritten note on the packing slip always makes me smile! If you haven't shopped with Butterfly Reflections before, you definitely want to give it a try - I promise you will be glad you did! :-) So...on to my cards! I had a request for some thank you cards recently, so I thought I would pick a simple layout that would work with them all, and just change each one slightly to make them unique. They needed to be somewhat neutral, so not too feminine - which alw

You Make My Tail Wag - Bookmark

Hi everyone, I'm back with a bookmark project for you today.   I started out with the MFT stitched rectangle stax dies and extended the cutting to give me a longer rectangle.   I used the "You Make My Tail Way" stamps and dies and cut and coloured this cutie pie.  He just puts a smile on your face doesn't he? I stamped the sentiment in Memento black along with a paw print and image from the set.  I coloured him in with copics (E23, E25, E37) and used the dot detail technique to give him some dimension.   I adhered him on to the bookmark with my tape runner and added a small whole at the top and added some nature twine. Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop by the SHOP because the Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter Release will be in stock soon.  It's AWESOME!   See you again!   Coralynn  :) Supplies: InLinkz.com

Hello again! Today we are featuring more of Amy Kolling 's beautiful work!! We are so thankful that she shared her amazing gift with us this month! Be sure to leave he r lots of love!! Ha! _______________________________________________________ Hello!  Amy Kolling here with another shaker card for you!   This one uses pre-made watercolor panels.  When I have all my Distress Inks out and am ready to make some backgrounds, I make several so that I can have some on hand for later projects.   This panel was made using  Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink  and was used to diecut this amazing  Burst Die from Avery Elle .  From this diecut Burst Die panel, I diecut a smaller inside circle using a standard circle die so I could make this a shaker card.  I assembled my shaker onto a 4x4 top folding card and added flat silver sequins (circles and stars).   My sentiment was diecut using another watercolor panel made with  Abandoned Coral Distress Ink  using the  Simply Said Amaz

Grateful!!

Hello BRI Fans!! Piali here, I'm back with few cards! I'm soooo loving all the fabulous new goodies in Butterfly Reflections, Ink store . I like to follow latest trends and I have been enjoying all beautiful water colored creations all over the blogland.  I was not sure if I have the skills for it....... but finally I got myself some ZIG Clean Color Brush markers and today I played with them. I have to admit that I had so much fun....its really very easy to use the ZIG Clean Color Brush markers .  I hope you all like the cards as much as I do!!  I used the new Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamp set for all these cards. As a first timer..I played safe , just heat embossed the floral image using WOW opaque white EP. Then I simply colored the blooms with ZIG markers and water brush. For the sentiment I combined a stamp from the same Altenew set and THIS Wplus9 set. The patterned paper is from Avery Elle.  For the next card I picked the beautiful bu

Hello, Butterfly Reflections, Ink friends!  Have you stopped by the shop lately? There are new products arriving everyday!   Today, I am sharing a card using some of my favorite companies, Pebbles and Avery Elle !   I used the Pebbles Home Grown 6x6 paper pad to piece together my card. I love the color combos used throughout the collection! The stamp set is the Avery Elle's Home Sweet Home .(Currently on sale!!!) The tee-pee is paper-pieced with a variety of prints. To match the sentiment, I added a few stamped hearts.   Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a great day!   Jessi   Supplies: Avery Elle - Home Sweet Home Pebbles - Home Grown

Birthday Banner Card

Hi friends, Joann here today sharing a birthday card! I don't know about you but I can never seem to have enough birthday cards! Here's today's card... I used The Everyday Collection 6x6 paper pad from Avery Elle to cut my little banners. I temporarily placed my banners down to see the exact placement of them and then I took the balloon string from the Avery Elle Number Balloons stamp set and formed it on my clear block to create the string for my banner. I stamped a couple of bows to the ends of my string using the Lawn Fawn Snow Day stamp set and added my sentiment to the bottom using the  Avery Elle Number Balloons  stamp set . After all of my stamping was done, I glued all of my banners down with some foam adhesive, added some TCP-Rock Candy Relish Mix and a few hearts that I cut using the Lawn Fawn Hearts dies coating them with some Glossy Accents ! That is all for today, hope you liked it! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day! Supplies

Beary Special Birthday Wishes

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends.  It's Marcie here, from Sharp Designs .   I have a sweet birthday card for you today featuring products from My Favorite Things . Let's take a minute and feel special because I used Copic markers on this card just for YOU .  It doesn't happen often folks and you're seeing it RIGHT. HERE. :)  Opting for a cool temperature look on this card, I pulled out three inks perfect for blending together for a fun background- Limelight , Grape Jelly  (MFT), and Mermaid (Lawn Fawn). I stamped the sentiment on top in black ink, then got to work creating a fun shaker card.  The top white panel was die cut with the Die-namics Peek-A-Boo Circle Windows  and layered over the blended background. The shaker is filled with 5mm and 8mm clear sequins .  The cute bear, hat, and cake were die cut and stamped with the Birthday Bears set, then coloured in with Copic markers (I had to dust them off!).  Here's a close up of the shaker

Unforgettable

Hello friends, it's Chitra here with couple of card to share with you.. I played with my  Wplus9 stamps ... I stamped the image from Unforgettable set onto Neenah solar white cardstock and colored using Copics . The design paper is from Studio Calico Brighton Pier, the red foil cardstock is from DCWV. The sentiment is stamped using VersaMark pigment ink and embossed it using WOW black embossing powder . I also made a tag to go with the card... Here is a close up.. And for my second card I used another cute stamp set along with Unforgettable called Party Animals .. I used Lawn Fawn's   Puffy Cloud border dies and Grass border die on some old Basic Grey design paper. Colored all the images using Copics , and the balloon is paper pieced using red cardstock. Hope you liked both my card... Thanks for stopping by!! Check out shop for all the new Wplus9 goodies... Hugs, Chitra

Don't Ever Change!

Good morning!   Jessica here with my final post as a design team member for Butterfly Reflections Ink !  It's crazy how fast the months have just flown by...I have loved my time on the team and I highly recommend that you consider applying (today's the last day!!) for the next term!  Vanessa is AMAZING and I created this card with her in mind! I wanted to finish my term with my favorite card techniques...watercoloring and shakers!!  To start off I took a piece of acetate and used it to smoosh Abandoned Coral distress ink onto a 4x5.25 panel of watercolor paper.  Once the color totally saturated the panel I dried it with my heat tool.  At that point the color was fairly light so I used more distress ink to add splatters and blotches of varying intensities.  After I was happy with the background I set it aside to finish drying while I created the shaker! I cut the shaker from white cardstock using the Neat and Tangled Gardenia Blooms Journaling Card die .  I stamped th

I <3 fall!

Hey Everyone! Its Trish, from  techniquesbytrish.com , as a guest designer for the BRI Blog! I'm so happy to be featured here on the blog today. Its been WAY too long since I have crafted anything but I'm glad to have come up with this card.  For todays card, I'm using an older stamp set but one of my favorites. Its the  Lawn Fawn "Into the Wood" Stamp Set . I just love the adorable critters ,the font, and the fact that it has to do with fall which is right around the corner!  I stamped the log from the stamp set in  Versamark Ink  repeatedly and then heat embossed it with  Rangers Detailed Super Fine Clear Embossing Powder . This created my own personal pattern paper to tie into the rest of my card. I then die cut one of  Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangles dies  out of white paper and stamped the cute fox sitting on the log as well as the sentiment. The fox is stamped in  My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink  as I didnt want it to smear while I colored i

Quick, easy, and cute lunch notes...

Hello my crafty friends! This is Kristy and I'm here today to show you a quick and easy project. School is starting in just a couple of weeks and my little one will be starting FULL day kindergarten!!! I thought it would be fun to make up a pile of cute little notes to have ready to stick in her lunchbox everyday! Here are the items I used: Lawn Fawn Ink- Juice Box Lawn Fawn Ink- Wild Rose Lawn Fawn Ink- Peacock Lawn Fawn Ink- Celery VersaFine Black Ink Post it tape Waffle Flower Doily Circle Stamp Set I started by cutting pieces of cardstock to 4x4, then I stamped the banner towards the middle/bottom of each card, and stamped one onto a piece of post it tape. I cut out the banner on the post it tape and used this as a mask. Then I placed it on top of the banners on each 4x4 card, and stamped the large doily over top of the mask. I peeled off the mask and then stamped the "Smile" and sentiment onto each card. I also used the little dot stamp to ad
