Layout & a Card

Hi all! It's Shawna today.  I have a layout and a card to share today.  I completed the layout first and decide to do a matching card while i had the supplies out.  I pulled these supplies though i didn't end up using everything pictured.

For this layout i used some wood veneers to create the background with mists.  I liked 

the effect and it makes the background interesting.

 I ended up using more mists and ink daubers to complete the background and then finished
up the layout like this.

I decided to use some of these same supplies to use on a Father's Day card since i had

not used the dies on the layout. 

Here is how the final card turned out.  The mist on the background soaked through a bit so i added some patterned paper to the inside of the card.
