Hello crafty friends! This is Kristy and today I'm here to show you a quick and cute card I made using one of the Butterfly Reflections ink exclusive stamp sets, Head in the clouds stamp set.
This weekend I attended a very fun event with lots of crafty celebrities and goodies! One of the teachers was the fabulous, Paula Cheney! She brought a TON of Tim Holtz products and gifts for us!!! One of the techniques in her class included the mini distress ink pads and blending tool, and she encouraged me to get mine out and use them with stencils! So that's what started the inspiration for this card! Here's a picture of some of our group with Paula (1st on the left, and I'm the 2nd to last on the right):
Here's what I used:
Head in the Clouds stamp set
Multi Medium Matte
Super Fine Silver Embossing powder
Ranger Mini Ink Blending foam and brushes
TH Mini Distress Inks, Peacock Feathers
Paper Smooches Spectrum Dies
TCW Mini Clouds stencil
VersaMark ink (I used this instead of versafine, which is in the picture)
Glitter fun foam
Sequins
Water and a paintbrush
First, I cut the card base and then taped off the top, and taped down the stencil. I LOVE clouds! ;)
I used Peacock Feathers and a mini distress tool with this cool stencil. Small circular strokes work the best!
Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you pop on over to the shop and pick up these goodies before they are GONE! ;) -Kristy

I used Peacock Feathers and a mini distress tool with this cool stencil. Small circular strokes work the best!
Then, I used a paint brush and water to flick some water droplets onto the distress ink clouds. I love how the water repels the ink and it gives a soft watercolor type of look!
Next, I used my Cuttlebug to cut out some small cloud shapes with the Spectrum dies, using glitter fun foam!
I positioned my puffy clouds and the stamp on the card. Then I embossed the sentiment, added the clouds, and embellished with some sequins using my favorite adhesive, Ranger's Multi Medium Matte!
