Happy Christmas Eve everyone! This will be my last project for the Butterfly Reflections Design Team :(. It's been so much fun to share my projects on this blog. For my final assignment, I actually created a few projects for a little hostess-with-the-mostess wow factor! I will be hosting Christmas Eve at our house again this year and I wanted to jazz up my party a little bit with some handmade items.
I usually have a coffee and cocoa station all set up for anyone that would like a hot beverage. I created a little sign for my station and used the "&" from the Gossamer Blue Get Happy Wood Veneer set. This year, to hold the cocoa packages, I used a mason jar. I glued some of the snow flakes from the collection on the lid. Since its glass and self explanatory, I just used some Christmas paper and the stamp set Fa La La from Kaisercraft, I just love that Elf quote!
Last year I had the fire pit going on my patio and a few people were enjoying the pit but it was a little too cold for others, YES, we live in Florida but we are not used to cold weather :) So this year, I bought a cute little linen basket with handles and I want to put some warm fleece blankets in it for people to take outside with them. I wish I had thought up some cute poem to put on the label about why there is a basket of blankets but I'm not that clever and I think my family will get it. The label just says blankets. LOL. But the beautiful part about this label is the silver glitter reindeer wood veneer, also from the Gossamer Blue Get Happy Wood Veneer set. I just put some Tombo Mono glue on it (This glue is my arch enemy, irritating me with its sticky web all over my fingertips and nails ugh!!-BUT it works oh so good when it sticks to what it is supposed to!) and sprinkled some silver glitter on top. It is so pretty. The label doesn't need anything else to take away from the glittery reindeer.
I also have Christmas containers on hand for my family to take home leftovers. This is really nice because it helps me clean up a bit of the food and there's not so much in my fridge afterwards. For the containers this year, I made labels with everyone's names on them and some double sided tape to stick on each container. On the labels, I used the Technique Tuesday Holiday Flair stamp set. It makes the labels a little more festive!
I hope you enjoyed my projects as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you! Thanks Vanessa and team for letting me be on the Design Team! Happy holidays everyone!
