Guest Designer Sunday with Christy Reuling

Hi, I'm Christy, and I'm a writer, a reader, a world-traveler, a dreamer, and friend. I've made my home in such exotic locals as Honduras, Germany, and Cameroon, West Africa, before returning to my hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania to settle down and raise my beautiful family. I've always been a crafty girl, but I didn't discover paper crafting until January of 2010. At the same time, I started my blog, Christy Gets Crafty, to document my journey. I few years later I began filming videos on YouTube as a way to give back to this amazing community. I've put my heart into card making, specifically, because it's all about putting love on paper and giving it away. I also work part-time at a local pottery studio.

For my card, I just had to give my new WPlus9 Winter Pals stamp set some inky love! Aren't these images adorable? After coloring them, I die-cut them using the matching dies. Gotta love that! So quick and easy. I layered some American Crafts Jack Frost patterned paper over a gray card base, popped everything up with foam tape, and stamped my sentiment in Memento Luxe Nautical Blue ink. For the finishing touch, I took the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and went over the iceberg and the penguin's earmuffs. When it catches the light, it adds such a nice shimmer!
