Hey guys, Jung here sharing 2 artsy cards with you today. I've got a pretty easy way to mass create artsy, inspirational quote cards with an alphabet stamp set.
For my cards, I used Lawn Fawn's Milo's ABCs stamp set. Not only do I love the font of this set, but I love how you get 2-5 each of the same letters, so you don't have to worry about running out of letters.
First, I arranged the alphabet stamps on a big acrylic block the way I wanted it to appear. (Essentially, I created my own sentiment.) On the first card, I used Versamark ink, stamped the quote onto water color paper, and heat set with gold embossing powder. On the second card, I used Versafine onyx black ink, and clear embossing powder. Then I watercolored over the quote using Tim Holtz distress inks in picked raspberry, peacock feathers, salty ocean, tumbled glass, cracked pistachio, and seedless preserves.
Since I mounted the quote on an acrylic block, I could stamp this sentiment over and over, making it perfect to mass produce cards. Also, this is a perfect technique to use if you're not very fond of your handwriting. You could use any quote for any occasion... you could use colors to match your decor, and frame your water color quote...the possibilities are endless.
"DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY DREAM." I absolutely love this quote. My "day dream" was always to be a part of a crafty design team, and here I am blogging for BRI. (Insert cheesy grin here.)
I hope you like my cards, and don't forget to stop by the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop! There's a lot of new goodies to check out!
Happy Wednesday!
