Sorry I Overreacted

Hi there friends! Janette here from sunny, yet wet (yay!) California. It is rare to have an entirely gloomy day here, and not uncommon to experience sunshine at the same time rain is falling. I love those moments.

Then there are moments that I love much less. Those times I've overreacted or said something a little too harshly, those moments that call for an apology. Today, I bring you a card for just that occasion. A simple apology can go a long way to make things right again. Never be to prideful to say "I'm sorry."

MFT is one of my all time favorite companies. They produce quality products I love, release after release. The most recent release is no exception. This Undeniable Chemistry stamp set and the coordinating dies, Chemistry, are on point! I've paired them with Prima Watercolor Paper and Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple.

After smooshing my selected Distress Inks on an acrylic block, I placed just a drop of water in each color to keep the ink as vibrant as possible. I then watercolored the explosion area and the vials with that intense color, allowing it to blend in some areas and splattering in others. Once dry, I lightly added shimmer to each area with a bit of Wink of Stella and followed with Glossy Accents to create the glass look of the vials.

To finish, die cut watercolor layer with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle, stamp the sentiment(s) with the Misti for accuracy, and pop up the vials with your favorite foam. Pop the completed decorative layer onto the Echo Park black polka dot for the final touch.

So, in closing, I'll admit that my particles get charged from time to time- and not always in a good way. A card like this is a great way to get a do over. ;)
