Are you like me and simply cannot pass up a stamp set that reminds you of your children, nieces or nephews or grandchildren, or your dog, cat or beloved fish?
Karen B. here from The Bald Dragonfly, and I have two cards featuring the same stamp sets, layouts and techniques for you. I couldn't pass up the Better Together Stamp Set from Neat & Tangled because the images in it are so sweet and the little boy reminds me of my own two rambunctious rascals!
I stamped and colored the boy images from this set-the brown haired boy with Copics and the the blond haired boy with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. They were die cut using the coordinating Better Together Dies and set aside. On a white piece of cardstock, I stamped the awesome sentiment from Honey Bee's Prayers Stamp Set with the rich, deep Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The MISTI tool allowed me to stamp the two cards without too much extra work. I love the size of the "pray" word, and the fact that you can customize the coordinating smaller sentiments and the word "pray" itself! If you haven't checked out this set yet, it is a must have!
I then added a light background with MFT's Mix-abilitiles Stencils in the Tiny Triangles and Small Brick Wall Stencils, respectively, using Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I adhered the boys onto each of their cards using dimensional adhesive.
Here's a close up of all the dimension on the card!
So sweet Karen! Love your coloring and stenciling!
