Happy Monday (ugh)!! Laurie here to share a very golden and very simple Christmas card. I ordered the Poinsettia Peace stamp set awhile ago and decided to use it for my project today. I adore these small stamp sets from Poppy Stamps. They are always so cute and unique AND affordable!!! They often have matching die sets, but this particular set does not.
I started by lining the "peace" sentiment up on a piece of 3.5 X 5.5 inch piece of kraft cardstock. Using my Mini Misti, I was able to stamp the sentiment perfectly by simply sliding the cardstock either up or down using the grid paper. This would have been an impossible task for me before that tool!! I used Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.

This would have been an impossible task for me before that tool!! I used Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder.
It looked a little plain, so I coloured in the letters using a red marker and also swiped the Versamark pad along the edges and added some more embossing powder.
For the poinsettia, I gold heat embossed it, as well as four leaves onto some vellum. I fussy cut each image out, flipped them over and coloured the back of each one with a red and green alcohol marker.
I adhered my sentiment panel with from tape to a white card base. Then it kind of went downhill. I adhered the flower with some Multi Medium Matte adhesive on the edge of the panel. What I should have done was adhere the leaves first...I had to peel the flower off which ripped the cardstock underneath, then when I went to reattach everything, it didn't want to stick, grrr. Anyway, I persevered and everything finally stuck, a little wonky, but stuck!!
I hope you've had a chance to enjoy one of these cute sets, if not, I encourage you to try one. They all offer so many possibilities and for such a great price!!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great week!!
Laurie
