Good morning, everybody! I hope you're all having a great day! It's Cassie here, and I've got another card to share with you. I've been feeling like I need a little break from holiday cards, so today's card was a purr-fect distraction. :)
What's better than cats and crafting? Am I right? I started off by stamping the (adorable) cat image from Neat & Tangled's Kitty's Favorite Things stamp set all over a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I stamped the cutie with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I used this because I wanted to heat emboss the kitties, but I didn't want to use black embossing powder. I never have good luck with black embossing powder. So instead I used the VersaFine and some clear embossing powder, and it works like a dream! I filled in some of the background using the same technique stamping the little heart in the set.
Next I took out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and colored in the kittens and the background. I loved using the Zig Markers for this because they were so forgiving. I googled 'cats' and started attempting all different coats for the little fur balls :)
When that was finished I stamped the banner in the set on some Neenah Solar White cardstock and added some shadows with a Copic gray. Then I stamped the other part of the sentiment on some black paper and added some white embossing powder. I trimmed those down and attached the three pieces to the panel with foam tape. After that the only thing left to do was to attach the panel to a card base, and it was finished!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my card. I'll be back with another card soon!
