Blooming Hello

Hi peeps. How's thing going? Vera here today. Are you about ready for Christmas? I am like in between. Ever since I moved to the States, Christmas is never quite the same for me. Being away from my family often leave me with feeling of homesickness during the holiday season.

And, of course.... when I feel homesick and wishing I could celebrate Christmas with my family, I often find it hard to create Christmas cards. It's funny, how I am okay with creating Christmas cards in other months, yet come December, I often find myself struggling to create one.

So, instead of forcing myself to do Christmas card, I decided to just let it go and do non Christmas card instead. I fell in love with this gorgeous Concord & 9th Hello Lovely set from the moment I spotted it and just have to have it.

This is such a fun set to play with. I first stamped and heat embossed the image on a piece of watercolor cardstock and then went to town coloring it ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Marker. For a bit of festivity, I added a little strips of silver glitter cardstock (from Christmas Basic Glitter Card Pack).

I also covered the flowers with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen as I think shimmer makes everything prettier. :) Here's a close up of the flowers. Hope you can see the pretty shimmer.

I still have to do lots of practice to improve my watercoloring skill, but all in all I think this card still turned out pretty.

Well, that's all from me today. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and hopefully get all your Christmas stuff ready. Add, by the way.... in case your hubby or any of your love ones want to give you crafting related stuff goodies, refer them to Butterfly Reflections Ink store. They do offer gift certificate. :) Thank you all for swing by here. Cheers....
