Hi peeps. How's your Saturday going? Hope it starts off wonderfully. Vera here. For today, I am taking a little break from Christmas cards and go for birthday card. When I saw Concord & 9th Heartstrings die, I knew right away that I have to have it. Seriously, they always come out with such cool and neat design. I love their stuff.
At first, I was going to do shaker card. But, while working on it, I thought, oh I shouldn't waste the inside part of the heart and decided to color them for later use. And, you know how it goes.... It's like a puppy when they see squirrel! Oh look.... squirrel... zoom, change direction. That's me. Hah!
So, instead of shaker card, I ended up using the colored inside part of the heart and end up with colorful, cutesy card. Can't resist pretty colors. And, here's what I end up with:
After I finished adhering the heart pieces, I was like, hm... I need something cute & fun. Well, tadaaa... this cutie patootie from MFT Adorable Elephants set come to the rescue. To this day, this is one of my all time favorite elephant set. To ground the elephant, I added a strip of patterned paper from MFT gingham paper pad.
Then finished with a sentiment from Avery Elle Simply Said Hugs set. Love, love, love the style of the word "hugs" on this set. I am pretty darn happy with the way this card turned out. Seems like everything come together nicely. And, I get to combine products from 3 companies in 1 card. Yay!
Here's a close up look of the card, so you can see the pretty shimmer on the heart. yep, I am all about shimmer. I covered the heart with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.
Well peeps, I hope this card makes you smile with its cuteness and happy colors. Only 2 more weeks to Christmas and today my goal is to get our Christmas tree up! Enjoy your weekend. Cheerio...
