Hi peeps. Vera here today. The day before Christmas, where everything last minute is being done. Hah... For me, that means house cleaning as we're getting ready for company tomorrow. Sounds fun, right? ;)
Anyhoo..., I managed to squeeze in time to make this fun slider mini card. I am short on Christmas cards this year (and behind), so even now, I am still working on Christmas cards. I think that's the only downfall of being known as card maker, your family and friend expect handmade card from you. No store bought cards. Here's what my card looks like at first glance.
Then, you pull the tag out and slowly it reveals a more colorful look.
Taadaaaa, here's how the card and the tag looks once the tag full pulled out. Like magic it showed a colored version.
Let's start with the card base. To add subtle pattern to the card base, I stamped the card base with MFT Sweater Stitch Background stamp. Oce that done, I created the frame using MFT Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame dies. I cut a piece of cardstock that's the same size as the frame and layered both with foam adhesive on the right, left and bottom edge.
Then I worked on the tag, which I cut using MFT Die-namics Stitched Traditional Tags. I die cut the tag twice. Once on a piece of acetate and once on a piece of cardstock.
Then, using my misty, I stamped the hedgehog from MFT Happy Hedgehog set and the sentiment from MFT Hand Lettered Holiday set on both tags. On the acetate I stamped the image using Staz On. The one on the cardstock I colored with Copic and the on eon the acetate I just leave it the way it is. Then carefully layered (so the image lined up perfectly) and glued the acetate piece to the cardstock piece. I cut another tag and trim it, to adhere it to the top of the tag where I stamp the word "pull here".
Oh yes, I also added some puffy snow line using Nuvo Crystal Drops Duck Egg Blue. Let it dry and once it dry, simply slip in the tag inside the frame. The acetate part lay on top of the cardstock underneath the scallop frame and the colored piece lay under the blank cardstock piece. I hope that makes sense.
Well peeps, I still have lots of things to do, so that's all from me. I hope you enjoy this fun magic card. And, I'd like to wish you all a very merry Christmas. May your Christmas be a joyful one.
Adorable hedgehog and love the way you created the card. So fun and interesting!
