Hello everybody, Nicky back with you today and demonstrating my love and desire for wringing every last ounce of use out of my stamp sets. Just because it isn't harvest time doesn't mean you can't use these mice from Harvest Mouse by MFT in a 'Springy' type of way.
Firstly I ink blended my panel using Distress Inks and Clarity Stencil Brushes. I then used some of the Distress Inks to splatter and distress the background. A separate panel of card stock was ink blended in green Distress Inks and then die cut with the Grassy Hills Die by MFT. I also die cut the picket fence using the Frightful Fence by MFT. The background panel was die cut using the frame from Blueprints 25 by MFT.
Assembly time ..... I popped the fence up on foam tape and then layered the grass over the bottom of the fence with more foam tape creating some nice depth and dimension, these were then adhered to the main panel. Next I stamped the two mice from Harvest Mouse by MFT and watercolour painted them using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
I die cut the clouds from Spring Showers by Lawn Fawn and stamped the birthday sentiment on one of them and applied all of these pieces with yet more foam tape. I glued a few toning sequins using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and then the final touch was highlighting the mice and applying dots into the grass with my Uni-Ball Signo white pen.
Here's a final look at my springtime take on Harvest Mouse. I hope you enjoyed it and for this and many other cards I make, you can follow me on Instagram #nickynoocards, Pinterest and Facebook. Have a wonderful day and I will see you next Tuesday.
Nicky
