Hi, everyone!! It's Cassie from Creatively Cass, and I'm so excited to be back as a guest for Butterfly Reflections Ink! Today I'm sharing a card I made using some adorable products. This really all came together so well because I was able to mix and match with some great companies! Let's get to the details :)
I started by die cutting a stitched square for my card base. I love using the stitched dies for card bases because it adds that little bit extra detail to the finished card. I've been loving my Distress Oxide Inks lately, and I used the Fossilized Amber color to give some color to the square panel. I spritzed it with water to add some texture to it as well. Next I die cut the largest circle from the Die-Namics Stitched Circle Scallop Frames dies from MFt. I die cut it once from my Kraft card stock and once from Neenah Solar White. For the inside of the circle I did some more ink blending and added the Faded Jeans color ink to it, spritzing it with water after.
I die cut a tree shape from the Avery Elle Tree Elle-ments die set. I used my Ground Espresso Distress Ink to add color to the bark. I glued it on to the blue, inner part of the circle and trimmed where the tree hung over the edge so that it would fit back in my border when I needed it to. Next I grabbed my I'm Owl Yours stamp set by MFT and stamped out one of the adorable little owls as well as heat embossed the sentiment onto some of the Kraft card stock.

I stamped the owl on Bristol Smooth cardstock because I was going to use my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color it in. I added some gel pen details and fussy cut the owl out. I added the scallop border, sentiment banner, and owl to the card with doubled up foam tape. The inner panel was glued directly onto the square panel. To add some interest in the sky I drew in stars with a white gel pen, and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in white. I attached the panel to my card base which ended up being 4 by 4 inches.
I hope you enjoyed this card I had to share with you! To those of you that celebrate Easter I wish you a happy Easter. And to everyone else I hope you're having a great Sunday! Thank you so much for stopping by :) I hope to be back again with another card in the future!
This is adorable. I wish we could see colorful owls like this in real life! Wouldn't that be so cool? Thanks for sharing. :)
