Hi friends! Kari with you today to start off your Monday and Week with some Flamingo Floatie fun!!
OK - can we talk about how adorable this set is from Neat and Tangled?!! Everything about it is just adorable! I love the expression on the little girl's face, and the over all way she is illustrated! And, You can resist a flamingo floatie! We are officially in Summer, and even though it is not my favorite season, ( not a fair skin girl's best friend), I still can't help love this set and how much it screams Summer! The minute I saw it revealed, I knew I had to have it in my stamp collection!!
I started out by simply stamping out this adorable image onto a piece of smooth white card stock, and colored it in with my Copic Markers. Since some of you like to reference exactly what markers were used, here is a breakdown - Skin - E11, E13 - Hair E18 and E37 - Flamingo - R02, R22, and R11, Bathing Suit - B24 and BV04, and white gel pen for the accents. I used the coordinating dies to cut out my image as well the water underneath the floatie. There is a stamp image for the water, but I just used the die as well as some pattern paper from the Sunshiny Days 6x6. You've seen this paper pad used by me quite a bit. That flamingo pattern paper also comes from the same pad! It went perfectly with my card today I think!! I die cut both the flamingo paper and the blue plaid ( from Lawn Fawn) with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables.
I simply adhered both pattern papers straight down onto my white card base, and popped up my main images with some foam adhesive to give this design some dimension. For my sentiment, I die cut a piece of white card stock with a banner die, and stamped out the sentiment from the same set using Lawn Fawn Jet Black and Bubblegum ink, and also popped up my sentiment strip with foam adhesive. For a final touch I added some shimmer with the Wink of Stella clear pen.
Such a fun little set!! Thanks for stopping in today!! Have a great week!!
Kari
