Hey Everybody!
It's Saturday again, which means I'm up on the design blog with another card.
A few weeks ago, I talked about coming up with some "template" type ideas to roll out when I wanted a simple card. I incorporated that idea into today's card.
I love a good pun on a card. I especially love the contrast of an artsy or classically colored card with a funny or snarky sentiment. It's just kind of....jarring, for lack of a better word. And I think that's so fun when you open a card and see that.

I began by using one of the images from the Memory Box We Gouda Together stamp set and stamped it repeatedly over my paper with my favorite black ink. I then broke out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and picked out some purples and went to work coloring these grape images.
I then stamped the sentiment from the set on to a piece of purple cardstock in Versamark ink and white heat embossed it. I mounted it on a piece of patterned paper before mounting the whole strip on to my card panel.
I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables die to cut a stitched edge around my card base, and after that was finished, I glued my grape card panel on to my base and called it a day!
This card was very easy to put together and I love stamp sets like this one with lots of smaller images that you can combine or use by themselves as a repeated background.
Thanks for stopping by today and reading about my card!
Happy Saturday!
Kelly
