Hi friends - it's HUMP DAY, we are halfway to the weekend - woot, woot!
And please make certain you are sitting down...I, yes I, created a card WITHOUT FLOWERS! I know, I know - possibly the most shocking news you've received this week, yes? LOL
I finally inked up the Diagonal Design background and embossed on white card stock; I sponged on lots of Spun Sugar using Picked Raspberry around the edges. I used MFT's Blueprints for the main panel - I never put that die set away; I think I use it on almost every single card!
I set that aside and cut a wonky circle, stamped the bear, masked and stamped the presents. Some Copic coloring and shading with pencils finished the images off. I added a strip of vellum, some thread and enamel dots. I curved the sentiment on an acrylic block so it would follow the shape of the circle...and I stamped the image again in pink on the inside panel (see above), adds that extra surprise to the inside!
Thanks for stopping by; hope you have a great rest of your week!
Hugs!

ReplyDeleteMichele this is such a cute little birthday bear image, and coloured so wonderfully. I really like how the Diagonal embossing creates such a great background and is perfect for showcasing the bear. Thanks so much for sharing with us at the Watercooler Wednesday "Birthday" challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, love your design.
ReplyDeleteHi Michele, what a great card! I love the colours you've used, especially that pink for the background which you've repeated in the balloon and the gifts. The diagonals in the background really add a sense of celebration and certainly spotlight that adorable bear beautifully. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
