Rainbow Clouds with Shimmer accents

Hi friends! Kari with you today sharing this pair of rainbow cards featuring the Cloud Stencil from MFT.  This stencil has quickly becoming one of my favorite stencils for sky backgrounds, or creating colorful backgrounds like these.  I love clouds...and I love rainbow, so I thought I would combine the two.  They are so easy to put together, so that is why I created a pair, but you could easily make these assembly line style and have a whole bunch ready to go, and all you would need to do is add different sentiments.

I created these cards with the Thanks Hello die ( which is on sale currently in the shop).  You could turn these into any kind of occasion like birthday, thinking of you, even sympathy.

I used several colors of Distress Inks - Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Scattered Straw, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron, Evergreen Bough, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet.

I did do a little variance between the cards.  The left has been layers, and a few more colors, and the other the loved ROYGBIV order :)

Once I was done with my inking, I die cut both of my panels with the Small Stitched Rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn to give it a finished edge.

I die cut four of the hello die cuts from black card stock, and layered two each to create one for each of my cards, and added the die cuts with multi matte medium from Ranger.  My sub sentiments come from the Halftone Circles set from Altenew.  I thought they were perfect for both cards :)

To give a little extra something to the clouds, I lined each cloud edge with a Wink of Stella clear shimmer pen. You can really see the shimmer when it catches the light and it makes a big impact on the simple design!  I also added some rainbow jewels from Little Things from Lucy's Cards. Then I just added them both to a A2 size black card base :)

Thank you for stopping in today, and hope you have a happy week!
See you next Monday!
Kari
