Hi there friends, Jacquie here today with a pretty floral card for a cold Sunday in January. I'm ready for Spring already!
I got these really cool Altenew Fantasy Floral layered dies before Christmas, and just now had a chance to play with them, and I.AM.IN.LOVE.
I started out by die cutting all the layers and the leaves out of watercolor paper. I took out my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints (still my favorites!) I watercolored each layer on the flower with the same color paint, however I varied the intensity of the color of each layer. I approached these the same way I would a layered stamp set...lightest color on the bottom layer and darkest on the top. After they dried, I assembled them using Tombow Mono Multi wet adhesive so that I could move them in to position.
Then, I took another watercolor panel and laid the dies out like pictured below. After I cut them out, I took a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die and cut around the panel, as shown.
I then took watercolor paint and brushed a nice background on the top panel. I glued that panel down and then carefully added my assembled die cut flowers and leaves to the panel.
For the greeting, I used a sentiment from Altenew Build A Flower Ranunculus. Lastly, I flicked on some watercolor paint and added some Pretty Pink Posh droplets to embellish the card.
And that is it for today's card! Have a great week everyone!
Peace,
Jacquie
I love this card........... :)
