Hello hello,
Happy Tuesday! Alix here showing my card for today. When I was creating this card, a movie called "Just Friend" came up to my mind. This movie was talking about a formerly overweight high school nerd who attempts to free himself from the friend zone after reconnecting with his lifelong crush and best friend while visiting his hometown for Christmas. So here comes my story of this card. Two best friends are together celebrating the boy's birthday. They both have feeling for each other but not brave enough to express their feelings for love more than a friend. Thank goodness that Cupid's arrow is aiming them to help. Something miracle is about to happen...
There are 3 layers to make this card. To make top layer, I cut top edge of paper using Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border die. then using Pretty Pink Posh Love Shaker die to create the window. I attached a piece of acetate paper behind the window to create clear display. I ink blended Tim Holtz distress ink in Cracked Pistachio, then I diluted ink with water and randomly splattered on the paper.
To make second layer, I used Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Border die again to cut top edge. To create the bottom layer, I used ink blending technique applied Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar and Antique linen, then I also splattered ink and water mixture to create some texture.
I gathered all layers and created dimension using foam tape as adhesive. I added Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Heart Confetti to make this shaker window sparkling. I used Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen in Clear to add some shimmer onto "Love" die cut piece. I arranged a few Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Sparkling clear sequins near edge of clouds to bring some interest up there. At last, I added all images that were colored with copic markers to create the whole scene.
I love this card! What a wonderful design concept, and you executed it perfectly! xo
