Good Morning Crafty Birdies,
Alix here showing you my design team project using Lawn Fawn stamps and dies to build a Spring scene. This idea of lay out comes from a picture from I saw online. I am not sure where other people get their references and inspirations,. I usually google with the scene or object and I am always satisfied with my searches. I was thinking about a scene with frogs and ducks, so I typed keywords and added "cartoon" in the end.. Oh yes I found lots of ideas.
First of all, I cut my front frame using Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape die out of Neenah Solar white 80 lbs cardstock. To create the tree, I used Copic markers to color the tree trunk and branches and dyed the leaves with Tim holtz Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick.
To create the scene behind this frame, I used Lawn Fawn Toadally Awesome Stamp set and Lawn Fawn Rub-A-Dub Stamp set I hand fussy cut all images and colored with Copic markers. To save your time, You could get their coordinating dies ( Toadally Awesome / Rub-A-Dub ) I divided my background into 3 layers, Grass, water and sky. To build grass area, I used Lawn Fawn Simple stitched Hillside Border die and Lawn fawn Simple Grassy Hillsides die and ink blended with Tim holtz distress Oxide ink in Twisted Citron. To build water area, I used Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside border die and ink blended with Tim holtz distress oxide ink in Salty Ocean. For the last layer for the sky, I simply added very little tint of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in Tattered Rose. I assembled every pieces I prepared and stamped the sentiment with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are inspired by this post and build your own scene!
