Happy Wednesday, Butterfly Reflections Inkers! Lindsay here on the blog today sharing a card using the new Breathe Rainbows Stamp Set. This set is exclusive to the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store and it's AMAZING! It's so super cute and the illustrations are just amazing!
Here is the Blog Hop that was done earlier this month. Unfortunately I didn't get a card done in time for the hop but I'm hoping to give you some inspiration now!
I have been obsessed with Mister Sloth (my choice is name) since I first saw a preview for this stamp set, so of course my first card had to feature him as the star of the show. I started this card using Bristol Smooth Card stock and cut out a Stitched Rectangle using a Lawn Fawn die. I then cut a circle out of masking paper using Mama Elephant Basic Circle Dies and placed that over my stitched rectangle panel.
It's hard to see in these pictures but I did some light ink blending into the masked circle area using Distress Oxide Ink and the MFT Cloud Stencil. Looking at these pictures now I wished I had ink blended a bit darker in order to see the clouds a bit more, but oh well! That's okay.
I stamped Mister Sloth, two clouds, and the rainbow from the Breathe Rainbows stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and embossed the images using Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder. I then got out my Distress Inks and got to watercoloring! I went with a rainbow sloth, which is clearly a logical choice. I felt that it was necessary considering the name of the stamp set is Breathe Rainbows and it's finally summer, so it's fitting, I suppose. I finished off the watercolored images with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Pen, which I tried to photograph. We all know photographing glitter/shimmer/sparkle is next to impossible but I hope you can see some of the shimmery goodness that these pens leave behind.
I stamped my sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh Encouraging Greetings using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and my Mini Misti to ensure no sentiment stamping disasters on my cloud ink blended background. After arranging the images and adhering everything with Foam Tape, my card was complete!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you can get some inspiration and have as much fun as I did with this special stamp set.
Aloha,
Lindsay
