Hi, my lovelies! Toni here with you sharing a Valentine card for my favorite monkey.
I started the card by using a Clarity Stencil Brush and Distress Oxide Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to stencil the leaves onto the card front. I then diecut the Lawn Fawn Polka Hearts Backdrop die. I can tell I'm going to get a lot of use out of this one!
I next sponged the card base with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry using the negative of a heart die as a mask. I then covered the card base with Scor-Tape and laid down the card front. I sprinkled glitter over the entirety and burnished the glitter into the hearts using my finger. Such fab shine!
Now the really really fun part! I stamped the Sunny Studio Love Monkey images using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics. They are centered on top of a Lifestyle Crafts diecut heart that I sponged with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple. I had intended to stamp the sentiment onto a banner using Versafine Onyx Black but decided to stamp it directly onto the card base despite the hearts and glitter. Worked just fine!
I have another card using many of these same ingredients on my blog, Frankie Helps Craft. Additional BRI products used include Mama Elephant Tri Window Coverplate and Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Spring 6x6 Paper.
See you next week!
So cute Toni!
