Good day, BRI fans! Toni here today sharing a warm and cozy friendship card.
I first sponged Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber and Wilted Violet over the Newton's Nook Plaid Stencil on the card base. This is a two-part stencil that allows you to position the two different grid patterns however you like for endless pattern and color possibilities. Love it!
I next diecut the white panel using one of the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders; it seemed a bit too white to me so I spattered it with the Distress Oxide Wilted Violet. Next I stamped the cute and whimsical Hero Arts Warm Animals with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink. Be warned the CP Midnight leaves black on your stamps but it's such a crisp, lovely black on paper. I colored the critters with Copics. Finally I stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuschia. I LOVE that color!
I also love the contrast of the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders curves against the straight lines of the Newton's Nook Plaid Stencil. And can you see see the embossing puffs on their hats? Puffy puff! LOL.
Feel free to check out my other designs on my blog, Frankie Helps Craft. I'll see you next week.
