Happy Thursday crafty friends, Ashley
D. here again! Today I have a simple
card I created to accompany a little gift basket I put together to welcome a newcomer to our scenic little town. I began by ink blending a
sky backdrop from Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean onto Bristol Smooth
cardstock, die cut with Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables (trimmed
to 3.25” square).
For the scenic backdrop,
I die cut mountains in kraft brown and white cardstocks using Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Borders. I added a forest scape
by die cutting tree and grass lines using Lawn Fawn Forest Border and Lawn Fawn Simple Grassy Hillsides in green cardstock. I sponged a bit of Memento Cottage Ivy ink to
the tops of the trees and tips of grass blades for a little added dimension. For the street, I used the Lawn Fawn Simple Road Border, die cut in black and yellow cardstock.
I stamped
the house, car, and moving boxes from Lawn Fawn Happy Village in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, in addition to the trees from Lawn Fawn Yeti, Set, Go. All images
were colored with Copic markers – House (Y000, Y00, Y11, Y02, BG000, BG01), Car
(R02, R05, R17, N1, N2, N3, N5, BG000, BG01), Trees (YG13, YG17, G28), Boxes
(E41, E43, R02, R05, N1, N3). I added a
bit of white highlights to each image with a Gelly Roll 08 pen, and die cut them
using the coordinating Happy Village and Yeti, Set, Go Lawn Cuts.
For a little extra touch, I also stamped the
small heart from Lawn Fawn Village Shops, colored with Copic R02 and R05. I fussy cut it, and then adhered it to the
front door of the house. I attached all
the background images to the square base with tape runner and then the
images with foam adhesive. For a final
touch, I added a welcome banner, stamped from the same Happy Village set and
die cut with the smallest Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners.
I attached the square to a yellow base,
leaving a 1/16” border, and then onto a white scallop square. Since I didn’t have a square scallop die, I cut
down the large scallop rectangle from the Mama Elephant Waverly Framed Tags Creative Cuts instead., layering two on top of each other to make a square.
To complete the card,
I then layered it onto 4.25” square card base with foam adhesive for depth. Hope they like my little surprise!
This is super CUTE. Love that fun scenery and the basket is fabulous.
