Happy Tuesday all! Heather fluttering by with a fun Mermaid card today! Here’s a look:
I’ve wanted to try this Distress Oxide color combo for the longest - it was inspired by a fabulous card I saw on Instagram by Nicola Meek (aka nickynoocards)! To create this card, I used a blender brush to ink up a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 piece of Bristol paper with Evergreen Bough, Pines Needles, and Black Soot Distress Oxides. I then used a tiny paintbrush to splatter the card base with several Finetec Gold watercolors and some black India Ink.
Once the card base dried I used the Mama Elephant Making Waves Cover Die to cut out this wavy scene! Next, I went to town coloring a bunch of the absolutely adorable Mama Elephant Mermaiden Agenda stamps and cut them out using the coordinating dies.
I mounted the wavy background atop a piece of shiny gold cardstock (which adds the most amazing shine!!) then attached all of the mermaids to the scene and finished the card off with a few of the sentiment speech bubbles from Mama Elephant's Stackable Cuties Stamp Set.
I loved making this card and can not wait to use this color combo on a few others. It's so amazing on underwater scenes! That's all for me today - happy crafting!!
Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each! I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool for the first time and loved it! I cut my own Tim Holtz watercolor paper to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer. I stamped my sentiments that are by Lawn Fawn Hello Baby with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks . I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things...
