Hello my crafty friends!
I don't do many "masculine" cards, which is funny, because I have four sons, but I'm always drawn to the girly stuff. This little guy fishing, however, is as cute as they come. I couldn't wait to pair him up with that cute little treehouse die!
Here are the stamps and dies used from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Store:
- Hello Bluebird Fishin' Hole Stamp and Die Set
- Hello Bluebird Treehouse Scene Die
- Distress Oxide Ink in Gathered Twigs, Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Bundled Sage, Squeezed Lemonade and Black Soot
- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
- Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive
- Copic Sketch Markers
I started by stamping all of the images from the Fishin' Hole stamp set onto my white cardstock, then coloring them with my Copic Markers. I wasn't positive what colors I wanted to use till I started, but I ended up going with blues and greens with a few pops of red. They just felt like fishing colors to me. After they were all colored, I cut them out using their coordinating dies.
Next, I cut my Treehouse Scene die elements and inked them up with Distress Oxide Ink. For the treehouse, I used Gathered Twigs, the grass is Bundled Sage, the sky is Tumbled Glass, the windows are Squeezed Lemonade and the stones and details on the door and window are Black Soot, that I inked very lightly. I also cut a simple wavy line for my water at the bottom of my card.
I just love this stamp set and that Treehouse die SO much!
Have a happy Thursday!
