Oh you guys, I am so excited about this one! I've wanted this fairy stamp set from Hello Bluebird Stamps for a long time and it is everything I dreamed! If these aren't the cutest little images ever, then l'm crazy. I just love them so much! And they put me in the mood for spring, which seems like forever away right now.
Here are the stamps and dies used from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Store:
- Hello Bluebird Fairy Garden Stamp and Die Set
- Trinity Stamps Slimline Scalloped Panel Dies
- Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Panel Dies
- Distress Oxide Ink in Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade
- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
- Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive
- 3D Foam Squares
- Copic Sketch Markers
I started by stamping all of the images from the Garden Fairy stamp set onto my white cardstock, then coloring them with my Copic Markers (if you look closely, you'll see I added eyelashes to the fairy's eyes). I knew I wanted some soft pastel colors, but decided I wanted each fairy to have a different color for her wings. After they were all colored, I cut them out with their coordinating dies. I think my favorite thing about this set might be the flower stamps. Aren't they gorgeous?
Next, I cut two panels with my Trinity Stamps Slimline Dies. If you don't have these yet, they are a MUST! They make slimline cards so much cuter and easier! After cutting my panels, I inked the scalloped one with my Distress Oxide Inks, starting with Dusty Concord, then Spun Sugar and finishing in the middle with Squeezed Lemonade.
I finished by using a little bit of leftover ink on my aqua blending brush to ink up my card base, so it had that soft aqua color on it. Then, I glued everything down using Ranger Multi-Medium Matte Adhesive and my 3-D Foam Squares. At the last minute, I decided to add some purple sequins I had on hand, just to give it a little sparkle.
I hope you enjoy this card half as much as I enjoyed making it! It just makes me smile!
