Hi everyone, Ashley here and I'm so happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog! I'm still getting lots of use out of the new Lawn Fawn Spring 2020 release, and today I have another card to share using their Really High Five stamp set.
To make this card, I first stamped out the adorable bunny and mouse, as well as the trampoline and little jump lines, from the Lawn Fawn Really High Five stamp set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, and coloured in the images with Copic markers. I cut them out, leaving a small white border.
I then put together the slider mechanism. First, I cut the rectangular sunshine piece from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine Remix paper pad. I then cut two slider channels into it using Lawn Fawn's Slide on Over dies. I placed foam on the back of the panel, making sure to leave lots of space for the slider elements to slide around in their channels. After placing a couple dimes in the spots they should be to slide, I then stuck the whole panel onto the card base, which I had already lined with that adorable rainbow dandelion paper from the Lawn Fawn Dandy Day patterned paper pack.
I then adhered a My Favorite Things Slider Element to each dime, and adhered the critters directly onto the elements.
I cut a piece of green patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Dandy Day paper pack using the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die, and adhered that down at the bottom of the card. I used foam squares to stick down the trampoline, and then finally stamped out the cute birthday sentiment. I also stamped the "slide me!" from the Lawn Fawn Push Here stamp set directly onto the yellow paper.
I really love how bright that yellow patterned paper makes this card!
Thanks so much for stopping by! To see a short video clip of the sliding mechanism in action, head over to my Instagram account at Ashley Young Paper. I look forward to being back with another card to share next week!
