Hi everyone, Ashley here and I'm so excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog to share another card with you!
For today's card, I played with the super fun Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters stamp set and coordinating slider die to make an interactive roller coaster slider card!
I started by stamping out a bunch of cuties from Lawn Fawn's Coaster Critters stamp set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and coloring them in with a variety of Copic markers. I also used the cloud stamps from Lawn Fawn's Butterfly Kisses stamp set, and the cute bird giving out tickets is from Lawn Fawn's Say What? Pets stamp set.
To build the scene, I cut a piece of light blue cardstock down to slightly smaller than a card base and die-cut out the stitched cloud pattern using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Backdrop: Landscape die. I also cut a piece of green patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's Knock on Wood 6x6 patterned paper pack to the same size, then die-cut it with Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border die. I glued the grass onto the sky layer with liquid glue.
To make the slider channel, I placed the coaster image onto the card front with liquid glue, and then used the Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters Slide on Over add-on die to cut the sliding channel right above the coaster. I backed the whole panel with foam, and placed it onto the card base, making sure to position a dime in the slider channel. I taped a My Favorite Things Slider Element onto the dime, and then the bunny in its car onto the slider element. Then - wheeee, the sliding can begin!
I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment "Enjoy the Ride" in black ink onto a strip of yellow cardstock, and then adhering all the remaining images onto the card using a combination of foam squares and liquid glue. As always, all the supplies used to make this card can be purchased at the Butterfly Reflections Ink store.
Thanks so much for stopping by today - I hope this card inspires you to try a slider card of your own, if you haven't already (they're so much fun!). For much more inspiration, head over to my Ashley Young Paper Instagram account (where I've also posted a short video clip of the sliding action!), as well as the Butterfly Reflections Ink Instagram account. I can't wait to see you again next week with another card!
