You're Gumbelievable Shaker Cards

Hey everyone, it's Julianne here back with some fun and easy birthday cards to have on hand. Today I'm going to be using the I Chews You Stamp Set as well as the I Chews You dies; I have had both of these sitting on my desk for quite sometime now just waiting to be used.

I have been cleaning my craft room and reorganizing lately and have realized that I may have an embellishment hoarding issue, so I decided I wanted to use some older mixes (to make room for more of course). So I picked six embellishment mixes and paired them with some Catherine Pooler inks and starting stamping.

I started out by stamping the gumball outline with some Memento Tuxedo black ink onto some pre-trimmed 4" x 5.25" white cardstock and stamped the image a total of six times for six cards. Once I had each of the outline images stamped I then started stamping the solid stamps with the different colors of ink. Once I had everything stamped I used the coordinating dies to die cut out the glass part of the gumball, this is where my sequins are going to go to act as candy for my shaker. Once I had them all die cut out it was time to start assembling the shaker, there was so much foam tape! 😂

With all the foam tape adhered it was time for the fun part of adding in all the sequins to my shaker wells. To complete each card I adhered my shakers to some color card stock card based that I cut down to 4.25" x 5.5" that went along with each ink color, and my cards were finished and now I have 6 birthday cards ready to be mailed out. These cards really took me no time at all, I got them all done in maybe 40 minutes and I love them. I especailly love that I was able to use some of my older products and bring them to life, I know for me I get distracted by all the pretty new things and forget about the other wonderful stamps I already have. I encourage you all to reorganize your craft areas and find some hidden gems you have forgotten about and create something wonderful!

Baby Tags featuring the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each! I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool for the first time and loved it! I cut my own Tim Holtz watercolor paper to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer. I stamped my sentiments that are by Lawn Fawn Hello Baby with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks . Hello, hello! Norine here from The Velvet Lemon blog . It's been a week for introductions hasn't it, but let me just say how delighted I am to have been invited to join such a talented group of paper crafters, and to contribute here at Butterfly Reflections Ink! Today I'm sharing with you, some cards I made by working backwards. What do I mean, you wonder? Well, it's a technique I sometimes enjoy doing, where you "smoosh" your water based ink pads on a craft mat, mist the colors with water and then drag your water color paper through it to create a pretty mess of color. For today's cards, I wanted a blend of blues and greens (always a crowd pleaser) and yellows/pinks. You will always be happier with the results when you keep the green/blues from overlapping with the yellow/pinks, because that just produces an unappealing mud color.
