Hello crafty friends! Davina here with some fairy filled color inspiration. The beautiful April Moodboard is a collection of Honeydew, Robins Egg, Passionfruit, and Violet. I’m always so blown away by the monthly Moodboards that Amanda curates each and every month. I love the challenge of creating scenes using these color pallets.
I have impatiently awaited the arrival of the newest Doodlebug Design release. The adorable fairies from the Fairy Gardenstamp set, and the super cute bugs from Fairy Bugs and kisses were a must have me. I also ordered some paper pads and little extras and created this card last night after my package was received. Now I will admit that I strayed from using only colors from the color board on this card. I purchased the cute little mushroom Fairy House Doodle Pop, and couldn’t resist using it even though it was orange and bright pink. So you will see that I added a little bit of orange/yellow and pink to my coloring to help the house blend in.
I cut my paper layers using Lawn Fawn Large and Small Stitched Slimline Dies from Bristol Smooth, Limeade and aqua card stocks. Then I created some grassy layers using Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside borders dies. I inked the edges of all of my layers and splattered with glittery Liquid Stardust.
I stamped my images and colored them with copic markers before cutting out with coordinating dies. Then, after adhering my many layers together with my liquid Glue Tube, I assembled my scene. I tucked some of the images behind my grassy layers, and let a few of them hang over the edge as I always like to do. Then once everything was in place, I highlighted with small white dots.
I heat embossed my sentiment on the bottom watery layer, then mounted the whole thing onto a purple layer of cardstock to frame it all out. I really love these stamps and can’t wait to use them again soon! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you playing along with the April BRI Moodboard and using the hashtag #brimoodboard on your social media posts. One random winner will receive $20 to the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop.
