Hi! My name is Annemarijn, 26 years old and living the happy life in Amsterdam with my boyfriend and our two cats. I’m beyond excited because this is my first Design Team post for this blog and I made a very cute card for you today. As inspiration I used the mood board colors from this month. I love how bright and colorful this moodboard is so I had to use it.
The card I made is a happy wedding day card with cute lawn fawn stuff. Because one of my crafty friends is getting married tomorrow. I’m going to tell you how I made the card.
Next, I die cut the build-a-castle die and the stitched scalloped rectangle and cut a piece of paper from 4” x 5 ¼” from white cardstock. To create the colorful water castle I used distress oxide in the colors peacock feathers and picked raspberry. For the background I used some salty ocean and then I used on the castle and the background the bubble background stencils with white yeti ink for an extra underwater vibe. I also splattered some metallic watercolor on top. The stitched scalloped rectangle I colored with abandoned coral and the sand bed I cut with the stitched hillside borders, collored with antique linen and splattered with some gathered twig. Next, I adhered the castle with a glue tube because it’s easy use for small parts. Then I adhered the rest of the card with 3d thin foam squares, stamped the sentiment and adhered a few blue sequins as finishing touch.
I hope you like my card and join the #brimoodboard challenge yourself for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Butterfly Reflections Ink!
