Hello Crafty Friends! Davina here with some spooky Moodboard color inspiration. October brought us some traditional Halloween colors to play with, that no one should find difficult to use. The colors this month are Flowing Green, Pumpkin, Electric Violet, and Midnight Blue.
I used tons of Mama Elephant products and a few Lawn Fawn Lawn Cuts to bring this card to life. I started by using the new Mushroom Home creative cuts to die cut some colored cardstock. I gently inked the edges of the cardstock to create depth. I layered the individual pieces and adhered with liquid glue. Next I stamped many images from multiple Agenda Stamp sets to create my scene. I used Little Girl Agenda, Little Witch Agenda, Little Gnome Agenda, and the Little Boo Agenda. I colored all of these images with copic markers using colors from the October Moodboard. Then I die cut each image using the coordinating dies.
I cut a few panels for my background with Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I like to use the largestbdies for my image panels, because it leaves a nice little frame for my background papers to peak through. I cut one of those panels into two hilly pieces using Grassy Hillside Borders, then inkblended the panels into my Midnight Blue sky and and Electric Green grass. After giving them time to dry, I layered my grassy hills onto the sky using foam tape on the shortest piece.
Next, I tucked my large mushroom house into the hills and layered my images into the scene. I tucked some of the grass diecuts from the Mushroom Home set around some bottom images and added a few bats and spiderwebs from a Lawn Fawn Build a House Halloween Add On. Those few pops of black really add a visual punch. I finished it off by adhering some teeny tiny iridescent stars around the available sky.
