Hi crafty friends! Happy October! Today I have a colorful Halloween card that features Lawn Fawn stamps! Before I get into today's card, I have a friendly PSA: if you are about to recreate the colors of candy corn, double check on Google to make sure you have the colors in the correct order before creating the entire background and sticking it permanently onto your card base. (Ask me how I know, ha! Sigh... 😂)
And now onto my card! For the background, I stamped the images with the different inks to create a tone on tone look. I mounted the panel onto a piece of fun foam and then glued it onto the black sparkle card base. I had created my own sparkly black cardstock by taping a border around the edges and then covering the sticky tape with embossing powder. (I knew I was going to adhere a panel in the middle so I only needed a border of sparkle.) After heat setting it, the cardstock looked like it was glitter cardstock.
To create the focal sentiment, I die cut the "B" multiple times out of black cardstock. I heat embossed the same black sparkle embossing powder on one of them and stacked the die cuts together for added dimension. The images were stamped, colored, and cut and then popped up with foam. The "Happy Halloween" was white heat embossed and trimmed with my paper cutter.
Supplies used:
Lawn Fawn Booyah (and dies)
Lawn Fawn Inks: sunflower, carrot, pumpkin spice
Black sparkly embossing powder (like this one)
