The Tree Isn't the Only Thing Getting Lit!

Hey friends!!  I'm so excited to be back this week with another card!  With Christmas being so close, I thought I might do another Christmas card!  Miss Ink Stamps has some of the funniest sentiments in their stamp sets!  This one has to be one of my favs!   This stamp set is called Blitzened and it makes me laugh every time!  This card was amazingly easy to make, but I know the receiver will love it like I spent hours on it! I stamped the images from the Blitzened Stamp Set and then colored them with Copic markers. Next, I cut a stitched scalloped border around the image and then used 3D foam strips to adhere it to my card base! Easy peasy, but oh so fun!

Wishing You Warm Winter Fuzzies

Hello crafty friends! It's Tina here and I have slimline holiday card to share featuring some Mama Elephant cuteness! I used the adorable Snow Friends stamp that also has a coordinating die Snow Friends Creative Cuts. I stamped, embossed and colored the images using Copic markers. I inked the scalloped background from the Mama Elephant Slim Window Dressing  die using a soft blend of Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Milled Lavender Distress Inks. I also used the Mama Elephant Slim Woodland Creative Cuts . This creates such a wonderful landscape background! I stamped and embossed the sentiment and added some snowflake sequins to the background. Using a gel pen I added some polka dots to the hats and scarves. These images are just the cutest!  Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you like my card. Have a great day :)

Warm Holiday Hugs

Happy Friday, Everyone! I am sharing a holiday card today using a background technique that I often forget about - distress oxides on glossy paper. It's a fun and always surprising technique - you never know what you're going to get. I used several Mama Elephant products to create the card, which can be found in the Butterfly Reflections online shop . I started with an A2 sized piece of Ranger gloss paper and pulled out a bunch of different colors of distress oxide ink pads. I smooshed a combination of yellow inks, squirted the ink with water, dragged my paper through the ink, and dried it. I then tapped my paper back into the ink, which at this point was in the form of droplets, and dried it again. I smooshed a different combination of colors - this time some greens and blues - and tapped my paper into the ink. I dried it and continued doing this many more times, using different colors of ink, always being sure to dry each layer. Sometimes I used one color ink for a layer, a...

Love is in the Air

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you're all having a fantastic week!  Today, I am sharing this sweet slimline card with you using the Up With Love Stamp Set from Mama Elephant .  These cute little critters needed to be up in the clouds for sure!   I started with a slimline base that I die cut using Heffy Doodle's Stitched Slimline Trio Dies .  I blended Blueprint Sketch and Faded Jeans Distress Oxides and then spritzed some water on the entire background. I stamped my Up With Love images and then colored them with Copic markers. I created my clouds using Trinity Stamps Scenic Border Dies .  I adhered everything to my card base using 3D foam squares and liquid glue.  I added some bubble hearts to finish the card off! Here are some more photos of the finished card! I hope you enjoyed my blog post!  I can't wait to share another card with you next Thursday!  See you then! Xoxo, Amanda

Meowy Christmas

Hi everyone! Tina here to share a Christmas card featuring colors from this month's Mood Board challenge. The adorable images are from Newton's Nook A Kitten Christmas stamps  and coordinating dies.    I stamped, embossed and colored these cuties using Copic markers. I kept with the vintage blues and forest greens and pinks. For the background scalloped layer I used the Mama Elephant Slim Window  Dressing Dies.  I used Distress Inks in Broken China and Tumbled Glass to blend the blue snowy sky background and splattered some white paint for the snow fall. I cut out the window frame using the Newton's Nook Slimline Frames & Windows die .  I inked the squares using the Newton's Nook Tiny Trees stencil and Distress Inks in Pine Needles and Evergreen Bough. For the touch of Gold I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto the banner diecut. I cut out some branches with an older Martha Stewart punch and created the glittery pink bow from the Mama Elephants B...
