O Christmas Tree Card!

Hi there crafters!  Linda  here today sharing a fun new card with you all! I created this fun slimline Christmas card with the amazing O Christmas Tree stamp set from Hello Bluebird!  I started this card by creating a slimline card size from white cardstock. I wanted to create a one layer card, so I started stamping the images of the squirl, fox, bunny, deer and two cute little birds on my card. I then stamped the same images on masking paper, fussy cutted these images and masked the images with the masking paper images on my card to keep them nice and clean before stamping more images.  I then stamped the bear, the christmas tree and the gifts, which now all fall right behind my first stamped images! I also masked these, so I could start blending a fun background and keeping these images clean as well. I used Evergreen Bough , Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Ranger Distress Oxide ink to blend with and added loads of splatters after blending. I then added the s...

Have a Happy Day! Card

Hi Crafty Friends! My name is Stephanie and today I'm sharing my first card on the blog! I just love making fall cards so for today's card, I used Lawn Fawn's Let's Go Nuts , The S'more the Merrier and Really High Five  stamp sets.  To start, I used Broken China Distress Oxide for the sky and My Favorite Things Grassy Fields diecut to set the scene. I cut out one of the trees from Lawn Fawn's Lift The Flap Tree Backdrop  and topped it by using the Simple Puffy Cloud Frames as tree tops. To give the tree tops a fall look, I used Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxides. I also used some Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide as watercolor to add some little splatters to the tree tops.  My favorite part of the card is the little bunny jumping in the leaves! I used Lawn Fawn's Let's Toast Pull Tab  to make him jump up and down. Using this interactive die is so easy, I definitely recommend trying it if you haven't yet! I used Copics to ...

Back to School Mini Cards

Hi crafty friends! Jenn here with my first post and I am so excited and grateful to be part of the BRI Design Team this term!  When I think of fall, the first thing I think about is back to school. I can't help it--I was a high school teacher so the end of summer signaled excitement about the new year (and to be honest, a slight sense of dread, am I right teacher friends out there?!😆). With everything going on and all of the changes happening in schools, I have even more respect and appreciation for teachers, and that is what inspired this set of mini cards I am sharing with you today. I stamped out these super cute images from the School Rules set by Mama Elephant  with MFT black ink and colored them with Copic markers  (I will list the colors I used at the very end of this post). Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The sentiments on the chalkboards were heat embossed with white embossing powder. To create the background, I used a brick stencil and fes...

Slimline Christmas card

Hi everyone!! My name is Laura and today I bring you my first project for the DT of Butterfly reflections ink. I'm super excited to be here! I love Christmas cards that is why I prepared this Slimline card with the Fuzzy Hugs stamps from Mama Elephant . They're adorable!! For the background I used the Slim woodland creative cut die that I painted with Ranger's distress inks. The colors I used are: antique linen , broken china  and tumbled glass . The feeling is also from Mama Elephant Big Spanish words Creative cuts and I cut it out of bright red cardboard to give it prominence on the card !! 🤗 The stamps are painted with copic makers and the details with Micron pigma to give more depth to the image!   Don't forget to visit the Butterflyreflectionink store to find these and many other awesome products! T hank you very much for visiting us on the blog and see you soon !!

Easy Floral Watercolor Card

Hello my fellow Butterfly Reflections Ink Craftinians! That's a mouthful isn't it,lol. Kelly Fusco here for my very 1st blog post & I couldn't be more excited.  For my card today Im using Concord & 9th Heartfelt Blossoms stamp set. Boy this is a beauty. I'm a floral stamp lover and this baby creates a perfect, easy to color floral frame.   To start off I stamped this large image onto Arches Cold Press Watercolor cardstock with Versafine Onyx & added Hero Arts clear Embossing powder on top (heat of course until melted) Then I chose my favorite Tombow markers (837,026,603,098 & 403 for the soft blue) I didn't go straight to paper. I scribbled my markers onto my glass surface and picked it up with a Ranger waterbrush and simply added the color to my images. Once done I used some prismacolor pencils for a bit of dimension & depth.  Once that was done I added some black splatter (black acrylic paint)  with a bit of water to make it spla...

Little Haunters Card!

Hi everyone! Linda here today! I'm so excited to share my first card here on the blog! I'm in love with creating Halloween cards, so for my card for today I used the adorable  Little Haunters  stamp set from Hello Bluebird for this Halloween slimline card! I just love the cute images from this trick or treating guys! I choose a slimline card size for this card, which I created from white cardstock. I blended a background in fun colours, using Ranger Distress Oxide ink in the colours  Black Soot ,  Chipped Sapphire ,  Blueprint Sketch ,  Worn Lipstick  and  Spun Sugar . I added loads of white splatters to make the background even more fun! I masked a moon with masking paper before blending the sky, to keep this piece nice and clean. I then used a light grey ink to blend the moon with and blended grass just right over my blended sky. I used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink from Ranger and created a mask from masking tape, using the Slimline  Grass...

New Design Team Intro for September through December 2021

Hi, everyone. I hope you're all well. My kids went back to school last week and we took one final camping trip this past weekend for Labor Day. Bacon and mimosas made it next level and we had a fun pizza party in the rain. (Why does it ALWAYS rain?!) I don't miss the tenting days, I know that much. HA! I can't believe summer is just about over and that it's September! My favorite season is just about here and I can't wait to get my first Pumpkin Spice iced coffee. Yeah, I'm that basic. ;) I have been seeing so many gorgeous fall creations on Instagram already and I can't wait to see more, especially from our new Design Team members which I'm here today to introduce you to! Linda lives in the Netherlands is such a talented cardmaker. She's been on several Design Teams including Sugar Pea Designs, My Favorite Things and LDRS. I had reached out some time ago to ask her about joining the team, but she had other commitments. I was so glad she had time fo...
