Fairy Happy Holiday

Hello crafty friends! It's Amanda from @CaveWitchCrafts ! I'm so excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog today with this fun holiday scene inspired by this month's #BRIMoodBoard. I tried to keep it "simple" LOL and only used two stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. Most of the images are from LF set Frosty Fairy Friends , but I also used set Ready, Set, Snow for the adorable snowmen.  I stamped images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink before coloring them and adding white gel pen highlights and LOTS of glitter pen accents. Using the largest die from the LF die set (retired) Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables , I cut out three panels on white cardstock. Each panel will create a different layer of the scene. The first panel will be ink with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to create a blue sky. The second panel will be cut using LF Die Stitched Hillside Borders to create a snowy bank. The third panel will be stamped using the foliage from Frosty Fairy Friends s...

Snow Globe Mini Shaker Cards!

Hey crafty friends! It's  Julia  here - long time no see! I am super happy to be back on the blog with this fun snow globe mini shaker card duo!  First I stamped my images from Lawn Fawn's  Ready Set Snow , Super Star ,  Mice on Ice , Dandy Day and Baaah Humbug  onto Transotype Perfect Coloring paper and colored them in using  Copic Markers .   To create my little shakers I used the  Ready Set Snow Shaker Add-On . I stamped the snow globe from the stamp set and die cut it with the frame die and again from fun foam. I die cut the snowy background and the hill from white cardstock and ink blended the background with Villainous Potion and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide ink.  Then I used a card base and lined the outside shape die up with the top edge making sure to leave a little gap between the cutting edge at the top. That way I ended up with perfectly shaped card bases for my snow globes! Then it was already time to assemble!  I...

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi, everyone. Welcome to the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I don't know about everyone else, but this year is just flying by! I can't believe it's almost the middle of November and my birthday is in a couple of weeks. :) The blog hop starts HERE  so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and hop along! As much as I LOVE fall, I couldn't help but go winter for the hop this time. Admittedly, I haven't made a card in probably a year. I went for quick & easy at 10:30pm the night before. HA! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Thanks a Latte stamp set. Unfortunately the dies are a retired My Favorite Things set, but Honey Bee recently came out with this one called Mugs & Kisses which is similar. I love these kind of dies where you can quickly paper piece with the bajillion paper pads I know we all have in our stashes! The shop is full of new goodies so I hope you'll come by and check those out too! Happy hopping!!! Vanessa

Deck the Halls Card!

Hi there crafters!  Linda  here today sharing a gorgeous slimline Christmas Card! You can never create to many Christmas cards right? I used soft pink and blue colours for this fun card, using the  Deck the Halls  stamp set from Hello Bluebird Stamps! I started this card with a white card base in a slimline size and then added a front panel, which I diecutted with a stitched rectangle die, to create a fun border! I started blending my background, using  Chipped Sapphire ,  Blueprint Sketch ,  Worn Lipstick  and  Spun Sugar  Distress Oxide ink from Ranger. I added loads of white splatters, to give the card a snow winter look.  I then diecutted the fun tree, wouldn't you want one like this in your garden? I would craft in it all day, lol! I used the Treehouse Scene die from Hello Bluebird and coloured the tree with Copic Markers. I then added the fun images from the set, including a christmas tree from the O Christmas Tree stamp set. ...

Beary Cozy Christmas Card

Hi Crafty Friends! Stephanie here with a Beary Cozy Christmas card!  To make the front of the card, I started by using Distress Oxide in Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany with the brick stencil to make the wall of the outside of the house. I then used Lawn Fawn's new Window Frame die with white woodgrain cardstock . I added in some red Christmas lights that I cut with a die from the Build A House Christmas Add On set. I then die cut some snowdrifts using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders and lightly blended Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass . I added in some cute squirrels from the Let's Go Nuts set playing in the snow. I splattered some white acrylic paint mixed with water to make it snow.  The inside of the card took a little more work. I started by stamping all the images I planned on using. I used the Christmas Tree , gifts and ornaments from Joy To All , the bears and frame from Den Sweet Den and the sofa from Window Scene Winter . I also made a little rug for the slee...

Fa La La Llama Christmas Card

Happy Monday, crafty friends! Now that it's November, I feel like I can officially start making Christmas cards! I absolutely loooove a good pun, and the first thing I thought of when I saw this Heffy Doodle Llamazing Llamas set (after thinking ahhh they are so cute!) was "I have to make cards with llama puns and these cute llamas!" I llove puns and llamas! (see what I did there? Somebody stop me...😂) I stamped out the llama and cactus images and colored with Copic markers (listed below). I did a little bit of masking to add the scarf to the llama. To create the Christmas cactus, I used stamps from Lawn Fawn's Furry and Bright and Joy to All . Since I altered the stamps, I fussy cut them out instead of using coordinating dies . I added a few white gel pen accents to the Christmas lights as well. The background was created with Distress Oxides ( tattered rose , dried marigold , abandoned coral ) and Mama Elephant's Kingdom Trio (mountains and ground inked and ...
