Hi there, crafty friends! Kimberly here with you today to share some cards using one of Hero Arts' fun new layering stamp sets! I love layering sets.....they're such fun to use and experimenting with different colors is half the fun!
SUPPLIES
I created a shaker card with the MFT Pierced Circle die, some acetate and microbeads I found in my stash! I stamped and heat embossed some of the shells onto my backer piece. I stamped the seashell and seahorse and fussy cut them out and added them to the edge of the shaker element.
I prepared the card base by cutting a piece of paper from the MFT paper pad down to 4.25' x 5.5' and added Distress Ink to the edges. I spritzed on some water to add to the ocean-feel of the card. I adhered my shaker element to the card base and added some of the fun new Nuvo drops Vanessa has in the store!
I stamped the sentiment, also from the Color Layering Seahorses stamp set, onto another piece of patterned paper from the MFT 6x6 pad - it fit absolutely perfectly! I trimmed the strip and added it to the card base.
For card #2, I wanted to play with the colors Amanda chose for this month's BRI Mood Board. Aren't they yummy?!?!
I fussy cut another stamped seahorse and added some Glossy Accents to create a shiny focal point for my card. This one was super simple to put together - I used the same patterned paper, cardstock and Nuvo drops!
I hope you've enjoyed my cards today. Be sure to check out the Mood Board and play along - these are colors I probably wouldn't have worked with otherwise, and I love how it turned out! See you all next week! :)
