Hi from your koala friends!

Hi Hi from koala friends and me! Alix here coming back to say hi to all crafty friends! Today I am showing your a shaker card I made using Pretty Pink Posh Koala Friends Stamp set  with some other great products. I started off Copic coloring all stamped images from   Pretty Pink Posh Koala Friends Stamp set  , Darling Dragonflies Stamp set  (for grass), and Bunny Friends Stamp set  (for foliage). Once they are colored and used coordinating dies to cut them out. (Koala Friends , Darling Dragonflies , and Bunny Friends ) To create the background, I ink blended with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Twisted Citron , Cracked Pistachio and a little bit Gathered Twigs at the bottom onto a piece of Tim Holtz Distress watercolor paper. Then I mixed Cracked Pistachio ink with water and splattered it over the background by tapping my watercolor brush handle. When everything is dried, I stamped sentiment Hi from Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greetings st...

More kindness, less pressure!

Hello, hello!  Erica back on the BRI blog today for a quick guest design post. I’ve been quite sad to see lots of negativity in our lovely crafting community recently, I’ve both been exposed to it myself and seen my friends get completely unnecessary negative comments on their posts. I have never really understood the need to always, always speak/write your mind. Especially when it so much easier to just scroll on by. Well, with that in mind, I’ve got two encouragement cards for you today because the world needs more kindness, love and support for each other.  Now, it’s no surprise I’ve been a little bit extra obsessed with Altenew recently, having been to a workshop in the U.K. last weekend. And yes, it’s entirely possible I’ll be harping on about that for years..! At the workshop, along with a fabulous goodie bag, I was lucky enough to win a raffle prize that had the gorgeous Layered Floral Cover Die A  AND the B plate in it so I just had to use them fo...

Sunny Studio Retirement Card

Good morning, everyone, Amy Copeland here with a bright and happy retirement card featuring products from Sunny Studio Stamps and my go-to favorite, Lawn Fawn.  :)     I have worked for a spine surgeon for the past five years as a surgery scheduler/administrative assistant.  His last clinic day is tomorrow and he is retiring.  My mom has actually worked for him for the past 12 years, first as his radiologic technologist and then, in later years, his scribe for Epic (our computer program).  She is also retiring as of tomorrow.  I made this card for her for all of us to sign in the office and we took up a collection for a gift for her.  I started this card by using the largest Stitched Rectangle Stackable  die by Lawn Fawn to cut a panel from smooth white cardstock.  You can't really see it in the photo, but I used the Cloud Stencil  by MFT stamps and my Mini Ink Blending Tool  to put a really light layer of light blu...

Tropical Birthday Card with WPlus9

Happy Wednesday! Lindsay here on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog today with a card using some of the newer products from  WPlus9  to make a summery, tropical birthday card.  I started off this card by stamping the background stamp from the  Tropic Fever Stamp Set  using  Versafine Onyx Black Ink  onto Neenah Solar White 80# card stock. I first treated the card stock with  an anti-static powder tool  as the plan was to emboss the background as I'm going for an ultra-shiny card design today. So after stamping the background I used  Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder  all over the image and heat set it. I then cut down to card base to 4" by 5.25" to leave a border around the edge which I backed with black card stock cut to A2 size. For the main image, I used  WPlus9 Hibiscus Bouquet , stamped with  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink  as it's a  Copic Marker  safe ink. I colored the images using R2...

"Beautiful" Scrapbook layout ///Doodlebug Designs - Create A Scene

Hello, friends... Heather here to share another scrapbook layout with you..... The pictures are of  my daughter during one of our treasured trips to the park.  It really wasn't an incredibly eventful day, but these are the moments I enjoy documenting the most...everyday life!  I love how the outdoor elements of the Doodlebug Designs "Hello" collection work with this kind of theme and thought it would fun to create a scene using dies and a stencil.  It was so easy to do with these products!   I started with a piece of white cardstock, Distress Oxide Broken China Ink , Distress Ink blender tool , & the My Favorite Things Cloud stencil . With this stencil, it is so easy to create fun fluffy clouds....load up your blending tool and swipe on the ink from the stencil to the paper...you want to use swiping motions in order to get smooth and gradient color.  What is great about this stencil is the four different sides so you can create so many l...

Hello Sunshine

Hi, it's Mona here! Today I will show a cute summer card with the Neat and Tangled Beach Day stamp set. First I stamped and colored my images with Copic Markers then I fussy cut them. The next step was the background. After I made the white card base, I cut a smaller paper from Yellow cardstock and made some splatters with brown watercolor . Then I made a Die Cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables Lawn Cuts (with the second largest) and colored the sea and summery sky with watercolor on it. The next step was the sand, I made it with the Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts and colored with watercolor too. Finally I Heat embossed the "Hello Sunshine" sentiment from the Beach Day stamp set with Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder , glued everything to the card base, and my card was ready. Thanks you so much for stopping, hope you enjoyed it. :) See you next Monday. Love, Mona

Because

Hi Crafty Friends Ali here, its great to be guesting for a day with this lovely set from Concord & 9th - Just Because . For this card I was inspired by a recent video by Jennifer McGuire to pull out my perfect pearls and get some shimmer happening on my card!! Many years ago (19 to be exact) I did buy some 'pearl powders' and now you can get Perfect Pearls in so many beautiful colours! That does illustrate that these powders go a long way and last for ages!! The first thing I did was create my background by stamping the leaf image from the set in versamark ink on some grape coloured card (any dark card will work well) and brushing with my perfect pearls - I used a metallic pearl . The picture below is just after I had covered my images with the powder (after this you wipe it over gently with a microfibre cloth to remove the excess powder from the card where there is no ink) After this, you will need to spray lightly with...

Ice Cream Card

Hey y'all! It's Kelli here again with a really cute card using Waffle Flower Stamps! I just love this stamp set from Waffle Flower. It's called Sweet Ice Cream and I absolutely love these little mice. I colored up these images with Copics and added little dots with a Copic Fine Pen.  I embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder from Nuvo. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!

MFT Stamps Happy Bird-Day

Good morning, everyone, Amy Copeland here today with a colorful birthday card featuring stamps from My Favorite Things .  I started my card by coloring in the cute bird image from the Toucan Do It  stamp set.  I stamped it with Jet Black  ink from Lawn Fawn onto smooth white cardstock and colored it in with Copic Markers.  I used the Coordinading Toucan Do It  dies to cut out the bird.  As per usual, I added some finishing details with my Wink of Stella  clear glitter brush pen and Glossy Accents .  I also used my new black  Glaze Pen  on the eye to give it a shiny, glossy black finish.  I had one of these in the past, but it must have dried out and it never worked right.  I was thrilled to get this new one and have it work right out of the gate.  :) Next, I got to work on my background panel.  I used my MISTI  to stamp the triangle-pattern stamp onto smooth, Bristol cardstock, first with Squeezed L...

More Breathe Rainbow Inspiration!

Happy Wednesday, Butterfly Reflections Inkers! Lindsay here on the blog today sharing a card using the new  Breathe Rainbows Stamp Set . This set is exclusive to the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink  store and it's AMAZING! It's so super cute and the illustrations are just amazing!  Here is the Blog Hop  that was done earlier this month. Unfortunately I didn't get a card done in time for the hop but I'm hoping to give you some inspiration now! I have been obsessed with Mister Sloth (my choice is name) since I first saw a preview for this stamp set, so of course my first card had to feature him as the star of the show. I started this card using Bristol Smooth Card stock and cut out a  Stitched Rectangle  using a Lawn Fawn die. I then cut a circle out of masking paper using  Mama Elephant Basic Circle Dies  and placed that over my stitched rectangle panel.  It's hard to see in these pictures but I did some light ink ble...

"You are loved" scrapbook layout

Happy Tuesday friends.... Heather here to share another 12 x 12 scrapbook layout I created using stamps and dies from Wplus9 and Altenew! Actually, there are several different brands incorporated in this project!. so many lovely products to choose from!  This is of a my picture of me and my little girl while enjoying a day at the park.   My inspiration for this page actually started with the rose gold embossing powders Vanessa shared on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Instagram feed a little while back....I loved the way the Avery Elle Rose Gold Metallic Embossing Powder looked so I ordered it and definitely wanted to use it on my next project. I started with a white piece of white cardstock and added a layer of  clear gesso  because I knew I wanted to add some mixed media.  I used the Geometric Heart Stencil from Echo Park  and Distress Crayons to add the subtle hearts on the background.  The Tim Holtz distress retractable brush create...
