A Little Summer on your Monday

Hello! Samantha here, hoping to start your Monday off with some fun and inspiration! :) I created a fun summer layout of my little Mann at the beach last year! So ok, there's a little mixed media thrown in there...I do usually use it, but I would say my style is more 'mixed media lite'! Ha! I used a fun houndstooth My Favorite Things stencil and some embossing paste to add texture to the background! Once that was dry, I layered the photo over a folded up glycine bag, and then added that AWESOME quote by Van Morrison! I found it on Pinterest (of course...ha!), and wrote it out with a mix of Webster's Pages Tiny Alphas and those gorgeous gold Thickers ! I embellished with some bits from Amy Tangerine , Evalicious (I'm looking at you Distress Painted wood veneer and flair!), and Bo Bunny ! I added some stitching and stamping with Lawn Fawn stamps to finish it off! I used Hello Sunshine and Life is Good in black ink! Hope this layout brou...

Guest Designer Sunday with Latisha Yoast

Hello!! And happy happy happy Sunday to everyone! Today we're introducing a new Guest Designer for the month of July! Latisha Yoast is here, and we couldn't be happier! LOVE her cards, love her style, just love her! Read on below to love her too!  ______________________________________________________ Hello Latisha here, sharing a “miss you” card today.  I don’t know if it is because its summer, or maybe I live in Florida, or even that my husband is in the Navy…but it seems like anchors are pretty trendy right now.  I am seeing them as embellishments packs, stamps, embossing folders & pattern papers.  So I’m using a few “new to me” product with different anchors to create this miss you card. I nstructions: 1.       I started by cutting down, and scoring some navy blue cardstock for my cardbase.  At first I started with white, but it needed more color, so I switched to navy. 2.     ...

Penguins in Paradise

Happy Saturday!!!! Danielle here!   I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!!  I know I am! Today, I am here with a clean and simple card featuring Penguins in Paradise by My Favorite Things . I love this set, though I am a HUGE Penguin lover.   I colored that sad little penguin with copic markers and fussy cut him out. Though if you prefer Dies there is a Die-namics Die set for you that coordinates with the stamp set.  I added some Wink of Stella to the inner tube and beach ball to top it all off!   I hope you enjoyed my card.  Be sure to head on over to the BRI Shop to get your cart full of goodies!  ~Danielle

A Gender Neutral Birthday Card

Hi Guys!  It's Nicole here for the BRI today and I'm sharing with you this adorable elephant birthday card.  Once I saw Vanessa carried this cute stam p set from WPlus9 in the store, I just knew it would end up in my shopping cart!   This card came together really fast using the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die. First, I chose some cardstock colors that would be appropriate for either a boy or girl card.  Then, I began die cutting all of my pieces.  I made the lawn the elephant is sitting on using the a Lawn Fawn die I've link here .   The elephant was colored with some copic markers and I used a Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some sparkle.   Finally, I finished off the balloon with some glossy accents to make it look rubbery like latex.   Hope you guys enjoyed! --Nicole

My Lucky Star

Hello,  Today, I'm sharing a card featuring My Favorite Things stamps and dies.   I first die cut 2 curved edges on masking paper, then masked my card base.  By using  Tumbled Glass  distress ink, i created the blue background.  Next, I stamped the star images from the stamp set  Count the Stars  on my blue background using  Golden Glitz ink pad .  My "Star" was from  Stars & Wishes  die set and was cut from luxe gold card stock.  I adhered all my sentiment on foam tape.   Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congrats

Hello! Rubeena here featuring two cards where I did minimal stamping. :) Butterfly Reflections Ink is having a sale until July 12 so take advantage of some of the in-stock items now. For these cards, I was inspired by yesterday's technique with embossing paste, stencils, and layers. Some color combinations are so elegant! White, black, and gold is one of them. I started off with this fun MFT Mix-ability Tiny Triangles Stencil  and Dreamweaver Matte Black Embossing Paste  and embossed diagonally on white cardstock. using my trimmer, I cut down the piece as shown below. There were no measurements, I went with the flow. :) I taped it down on A2 cardbase with foam tape for dimension. Next, I die-cut Lawn Fawn's Scripty Congrats Lawn Cuts from metallic gold cardstock and black cardstock. I used Altenew's Doodle Blooms dies to cut out three of the leaves dies and stamped the leaves from Altenew's Doodle Blooms with Delicata gold ink. I also die-cut the small butter...
