Crazy About You

Hi friends!  Thanks for stopping by today! I have an ink blended card, using a host of fun products from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store! To begin, I took a white panel, masked off the center area with a piece of masking paper, and sponged in a range of Distress Inks from Ranger, using an ink blending tool. I then removed the mask, and began working on my sentiment. Using Avery Elle's Simply Said: Crazy stamp set , I stamped it in Versamark ink . I then white heat embossed the image, and added foil to it using the Heidi Swapp Minc machine. You could always use a laminator if you don't have the Minc. Once the image was foiled, I die cut it out with the coordinating die , and popped it up onto my card, adding the rest of the sentiment that was heat embossed onto black card stock. To finish it off, I die cut a few black hearts from Memory Box's Flicker Heart die , and added glossy accents to them. Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a great o...

You Are Loved

Morning, people! Erin here. Got some fabulous new goodies from the shop including the latest release from WPlus9. Dawn always does an amazzzzing job with her releases! I used distress inks for the background and this amazing Hero Arts cubic stencil . Then I stamped the WPlus9 Ranunculus stamp set twice in the corners in black ink and a sentiment from That Is All stamp set . A pretty easy one layer card that packs quite a little punch! Have a happy Tuesday, folks!

Create A Smile - Copic's and Colored Pencils

Hey folks! I'm back today to share a couple of really fun cards with you! I really enjoy taking one stamp set and try out a couple of different ideas. The Create A Smile Color Your Heart Out Stamp Set is perfect for this. It has loads of Images that you could use with so many different mediums. I dig it. For my first card, I started by stamping my Images with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink masking some of them off with Inkadinkado Stamping Mask Paper . You could totally color these in any colors you want, but I decided to Copic color them in a rainbow. I stamped the Images down the center of my Card Panel, but I decided to trim down both sides and adhere it to a My Favorite Things Gravel Grey Card Base. I also added a strip of Ranger Metal Silver Foil Tape . For my second card, I wanted to use the same Image from the Set , but this time, I heat embossed the Hearts with Versamark Ink and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder . I used Tombow Irojiten Color Dictionary Col...

February Mood Board

Hello there! Amanda here today to share the February mood board. I was immediately drawn to these gold on navy images and then pulled in the pink and minty blue to coordinate. It's makes a great non-traditional Valentine's Day palette too! Mint, Gold, Soft Pink and Navy Image Sources: Pinterest And here is my layout it inspired!  I started with creating my background by splattering several mist colors on white cardstock. Once the mist was dry I added white embossing paste with a stencil. Then I went back in and added a few rub-ons and stickers. Once my background was done I layered several papers from a few different paper pads and tucked in other elements like the gold foil die cuts, "awesome" overlay, stickers and enamel shapes. Layout titles are seriously the bane of my existence. I don't know why I struggle with them so much, but I do! I pulled these wood tiles from my stash and tried to piece something together and I think it turned ou...

Backyard Camping Layout

Hello! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a fun little layout featuring about a TON of products from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop ! To start, I had this SUPER dark photo of my little Menn camping, and I just HAD to scrapbook it, even though it wasn't the best quality photo! So I just decided to make the rest of the layout as dark! :) I added the cute clouds from Lawn Faw n as embellishments! I heat embossed them in white over some cardstock that I painted with black acrylic paint! I matted the photo with a bunch of black patterned papers from various 6x6 paper pads that I have! The title was created with two different Thickers - and of the most versatile fonts the Confetti Adorn Thickers ! I love those! I did minimal embellishing on this layout, since I wanted to keep it mostly black. But I did add some rub on stars from the Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers collection , in white to the background, just because I could! And that AMAZING flair is from the...

Scene Card - It Has Always Been You

Hello! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here today to share a scene card featuring MFT's products. Today's story is about a monkey and a bird. The monkey is holding an umbrella, shielding the rain from his girlfriend/friend. It has always been the monkey doing that for the bird. Do you have such a person in your life? You two may seem very different from each other but at the end of the day, he/she still protects you from all the bad things :) Blend Tumbled Glass distress ink onto the background panel Die cut the cloud and blend the edges with Spun Sugar distress ink Stamp, die cut and color all images with Copic markers . I have used images from MFT Cheeky Monkey , All Heart , Somebunny and Ewe are the Best Stamp the sentiment from All Heart set with black pigment ink Adhere everything as shown with foam tape and glue. Stamp the rain with black ink all over the card, except below the umbrella I hope you get inspired. This card is quite complicated. ...

Darling Duo Tulle Shaker Love

Welcome to the Thursday edition of the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog! Janette here bringing you some love, Darling Duo love.  This shaker card features tulle, Newton's Nook , Lawn Fawn , and sequin mixes from Lucy's Cards . Let's hop to it! I began by coloring these adorable kitties from the Darling Duos set by Newton's Nook, not knowing how I was going to use them. I colored them with Copic markers to resemble two rescue kitties we have loved. Our beloved siamese (Suki) is chasing catnip in the sky, but the black (Luna) is just as fat and sassy as could be. I fussy cut this set, but a die set is available. Venture into your stash of backgrounds from time to time. I did here and pulled out this beauty created with Colorburst watercolor powders (coming soon to BRI!). After stamping "I Love You" with Lawn Fawn's Scripty Sayings stamp set , I stitched tulle to 3 sides leaving the fourth open to fill with Lily White and Lipstick sequins mixe...
