Hugs To You

Karen B. here from The Bald Dragonfly , and it is an absolute pleasure to be guesting today! I've created a clean and simple, really cute card for you today featuring products from the ever popular My Favorite Things available at the  store . I started with a white card base and stamping, copic coloring and die-cutting the sweat bear and puppy from Furever Friends Stamp Set and Furever Friends Die-namics . I then added a stitched frame and some stitched lines from the Stitched Rounded Square Frames on top of some plaid patterned paper (similar to this paper pad from Lawn Fawn ). I finished with a sentiment from Lots of Hugs . So super sweet, don't you think? Just a reminder that if you see something that is out of stock at the  store , please click the "Put Me On The Waiting List" button so that Vanessa knows you absolutely need this item and can try to order more!

Flying by...

Hello, Sharna here with some new cards for you! As soon as I saw the new Lawn Fawn release I knew I needed to get the Plane and Simple stamps and dies , so adorable! My son has a slight obsession with planes right now (he is 2 and a 1/2) For the cards I combined the Puffy Cloud border die  with some heavy weight card stock for the border and background. The background on the second card is die cut with the Starry Skies Lawn cuts. The planes for both cards are colored with a few copics. I really like the pop of red against all the blues! I kept the sentiment on both cards simple so they can be used for many different occasions. Everyone needs some cards in their stash they can customize easily for those last minute gifts. (ha!)

HOPE

Hi friends-happy, happy hump day! <yes, insert camel voice> Can you believe we have come to the end of June? Insane, just crazy. BUT that means July is just around the corner and that's my BIRTHDAY MONTH - well, kind of birthday quarter actually! I celebrate B-I-G and I let everyone know. ;) #annoying But that's not what we're here for today...but I thought a heads up would be good. LOL I created this super fun card with lots of different products (links below) and I kinda love how it turned out. I started off using the MFT Sun Ray stencil and sponged on some broken china - very lightly. I die cut the word HOPE from some card stock and used it as a stencil creating an ombre look, black at the bottom fading to a lighter gray towards the top. Once complete, I stamped the Kind Soul flowers in Hero Arts Black and colored with a myriad of Copics. Once finished, I outlined the image with a fine tip Sharpie. I wanted to keep the card very simple, so I di...

Happy Birthday, Matey!

Hi there! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 stopping by to share a pirate themed birthday card with you today.  I had so much fun with these adorable images from Lawn Fawn.... I mean, seriously, how cute are these guys? These adorable little pirate images are from Lawn Fawn's Ahoy, Matey Stamp Set .  I colored them with my Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating Ahoy, Matey Lawn Cuts.   The little seashells are from another darling Lawn Fawn set,  Mermaid For You. I added a little sparkle to several images with a Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen and gold Stickles . To create my card panel, I inked up my cardstock with my  Mini Ink Blending Tool and several colors of Distress Ink including:  Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean,  Carved Pumpkin and Worn Lipstick. For finishing touches to my card, I used a White Uni-Ball Signo Pen to add a few "waves" to my ocean.  I also added a few Copic marker dots to...

Flamingo Floatie

Hi friends!   Kari  with you today to start off your Monday and Week with some  Flamingo Floatie  fun!! OK - can we talk about how adorable this set is from Neat and Tangled?!!   Everything about it is just adorable!  I love the expression on the little girl's face, and the over all way she is illustrated!  And, You can resist a flamingo floatie!  We are officially in Summer, and even though it is not my favorite season, ( not a fair skin girl's best friend), I still can't help love this set and how much it screams Summer!  The minute I saw it revealed, I knew I had to have it in my stamp collection!! I started out by simply stamping out this adorable image onto a piece of smooth white card stock, and colored it in with my Copic Markers.  Since some of you like to reference exactly what markers were used, here is a breakdown - Skin - E11, E13 - Hair E18 and E37 - Flamingo - R02, R22, and R11, Bathing Suit - B24 and BV04, ...

C9 Orange You So Sweet

Welcome to today's edition of the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog! It's  Janette  here and it has simply been too long since I've said paid a visit to my dear friends on the BRInk! Helloooo! I am super excited to be sharing with you the Orange You Sweet stamp set from Concord & 9th . Not only is the set super cute and I made a video tutorial for you, but guys - we are orange growers here in central California! My husband is a 4th generation citrus grower. This is in our blood. You know I had to have this set as soon as it was humanly possible! Oh yes, and there are dies too! The best sketchy oranges, right? That's the thing, it is not only oranges. With this set you can nearly create a fruit salad. Oranges, limes, kiwi, watermelon, so much! You could even use the pie shapes to create a pizza! I have so many ideas for this set. I have begun a list and slipped it in with the stamp set so I don't forget down the road. (Not that it ever happens ...

You Gnome Me So Well!

Happy Saturday, Crafty Friends! I'm back on the blog today with this fun little shaker card! My younger brother celebrated his birthday last month, and I wanted to make him smile with this fun card. He appreciates goofy little characters, and so I thought he'd enjoy getting this for his birthday.  I started by stamping the images from the My Favorite Things You Gnome Me stamp set on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. This paper is great for coloring images when you want to get good blending with your coloring media. I used my Distress Markers  to color the images and then fussy cut them out. I set them aside and started working on the shaker window. Because I knew I wanted to make shaker card, I actually solidified my plan for the card panel first. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables die to die-cut the gray kraft panel. I also used my hickory smoke distress ink  and my ink blending tool  to treat the edges of the panel, just to a...

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

WOOOO HOOOO! School's out for SUMMMMMERRR! My kids had their last day Tuesday and I'm sitting out on the deck watching them swim in the pool as I type this. That was one of the BEST summer fun decisions we made a couple of years ago! It's nice to enjoy the comfort of home, but have a way for them to cool off. Bonus for not having to go anywhere so I can drink on the deck sometimes. ;) Speaking of the deck, it's currently covered in floats and beach towels! LOL It's definitely challenging owning a business and trying to get work done while the kids are home. We have a few short vacations planned and then they are signed up for 3 weeks of summer day camp. I hope you all have some fun summer plans. I'd love to hear them! I'm joining the blog today to hop along with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop .  Too hot for coffee? Grab yourself an iced (my preference) and hop along!  There are lots of sponsors on this hop and you can win some fun prizes. Be s...

You are Beautiful

Hi there friends, Crystal here on this awesome third day of Summer with a simple and fun card that is sure to cheer up a friend. For this card, I selected Altenew Perennial Beauty ! To make this I started with Crate Paper 6x6 pad named Gather . Next, I trimmed a white cardstock to be centered on the card and stamped the sentiment in Altenew Jet Black .  The flower was stamped using Altenew Perennial Beauty in Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Ruby Red & Grapevine. Leaves are also stamped using Altenew Crisp Inks . I decided it would be fun to have 2 shades of leaves. After everything dried up, I fuzzy cut and adhered to the card.  To finish this, I placed Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplet s . I love how simple this was to make and it turned out very pretty. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Crystal

Vellum + Oxide Inks = Marble Effect

Hello BRI Friends today I want to share with you a very cool technique with Oxide Inks and Vellum to create the look of Marble, it looks awesome! CARD DETAILS:  I started with two  Vellum  pieces (you will need a thick vellum for this technique), I first put a little of   Broken China  in my Ranger Mat and I added a little bit of water (you want the ink to the thick), and smooshed the Vellum into the Oxide Ink (I did not add more water to the piece) I only added the oxide ink and dry it with a heat gun, I did the same thing with the  Wilted Violet  and  Cracked Pistachio  inks in the parts I thought it needed.  When I finally got the look I wanted... "this next step is important" I flip the vellum piece and used the back of it for my card.  It looks great just like marble. I used one of the vellum pieces for my card base and one to stamp the flowers from the beautiful  Alternew Adore You Stamp Set . ...

Modern Peonies in Gray

Hi friends - happy HUMP DAY!! We're halfway to the weekend - yippee!! Seriously, does Dawn from WPlus9 not have some of the most beautiful flowers for coloring? I took the easy way out and scribbled on Zig Clean Color Brushes in a light gray in the depths and spritzed with water; once dry, I added a darker gray in those same areas and spritzed again. And once again when completely dry, I added a dark, dark gray Prismacolor pencil to the nooks & crannies of the flowers. I also coated each flower twice with clear Wink of Stella - the shimmer is fab, too bad you can't capture it in a photo. #fail I then die cut the leaves from some MFT black and white designer paper and some polka dot vellum. The black background was made MONTHS ago (yikes - so true) with a Hero Arts stencil and translucent embossing paste. Use ANY stencil for the background, but that shine is so cool IRL! I finally used the piece as my backdrop for the flowers and leaves and finished it off wi...

Believe In Your Dreams

Hi there!   This is Tanya from Studio 5380 sharing a sparkly shaker card with you today...     These beautiful flowers are from the new Lawn Fawn die set, Pretty Poppies.   I cut the flowers and leaves from white cardstock and inked them up with Distress Oxides in the following colors:  Worn Lipstick , Spiced Marmalade , Peeled Paint and Iced Spruce.   After inking the flowers and leaves, I spritzed them with a bit of water and watched the Distress Oxides do their magic! I really love these inks! This beautiful sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Flutter By.   I stamped my sentiment with  VersaMark Ink and sprinkled on some Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder.   After heat embossing the sentiment, I was ready to assemble my card.    I cut out my black layer 4 times and adhered them together so that my sequins would have space to move freely when shaken.  I filled the shaker area with some ...

Plane and Simple!

Hi friends!  Kari  with you today, and I am happy to share this fun card with a little bit of rainbow goodness, and punny sentiments! For today's card project, I wanted to ink up one of my favorite sets from the Lawn Fawn release called  Plane and Simple .  I had this vision in my head that one of the planes was flying in a rainbow path, because rainbows are happy and cheery!  So, that is what I started out creating first. I die cut a piece of smooth white card stock with the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn.  I created out of some masking paper from Inkadinkado, and I took one of the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and had to separate pieces to create a wave pattern.  Then, I took some Distress Inks in Candied Apple, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Blue Print Sketch, and Wilted Violet to create my rainbow wave :) Then, I peeled back my masks to reveal a nice sharp line! ...

I created the watercolor background with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers , believe it or not! :) So much fun!!!! My favorite part are the colors in the letter 'b'!! Love them! Ok, so I finished the title with the amazing scripty letter stickers from PinkFresh Studio ! LOVE them, so much!
