Head in the clouds card...

Hello crafty friends! This is Kristy and today I'm here to show you a quick and cute card I made using one of the Butterfly Reflections ink exclusive stamp sets, Head in the clouds stamp set . This weekend I attended a very fun event with lots of crafty celebrities and goodies! One of the teachers was the fabulous, Paula Cheney ! She brought a TON of Tim Holtz products and gifts for us!!! One of the techniques in her class included the mini distress ink pads and blending tool, and she encouraged me to get mine out and use them with stencils! So that's what started the inspiration for this card! Here's a picture of some of our group with Paula (1st on the left, and I'm the 2nd to last on the right): Here's what I used: Head in the Clouds stamp set Multi Medium Matte Super Fine Silver Embossing powder Ranger Mini Ink Blending foam and brushes TH Mini Distress Inks, Peacock Feathers Paper Smooches Spectrum Dies TCW Mini Clouds stencil VersaMark ink (I

Thank you BRI!

Today is my last post for the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Design Team! Where has the time gone! Boy, did that go by fast!   One of my favorite things from the BRI shop has to be the awesome exclusive stamps that were released! They are still available, HERE !   Here is the card I created using the Over the Rainbow set:     To create the rainbow, I stamped the words in black. Then I stamped the remainder of the rainbow in a variety of colors. To create this look, I taped the sections of the image I did not want to color. Once the ink is applied, I would recover the tape and stamp the image.  To add some texture to the card, I added a couple cloud diecuts.   Supplies from BRI Store: BRI Exclusives - Over the Rainbow stamps   I had so much fun being part of this team! I cannot wait to see who makes the next Design Team! Have a great day! Jessi

Guest DT Sunday with Tessa Wise

Hello! It's Tessa Wise back to share a card I made with my new goodies from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store! I love the Solstice 6x6 paper pad by Pink Paislee- the patterned papers are so pretty and it just has that fall feel to it without being so themed. I paired it with the Dreams stamp by Neat and Tangled along with the banner dies and twine by Lawn Fawn: 3 I started with a piece of the patterned paper and cut it to fit my card front. I splattered it with gold mist and let it dry. I diecut the banner out of vellum and stamped the sentiment with Jet Black Staz On ink. I stamped it again onto some pink patterned paper and cut out around it. I added it to the banner using foam adhesive. I wanted the sentiment to stand out a little more so I cut out another piece of vellum to add underneath the banner. I cut it in a shape that kind of looked like a watercolor blob :) I wanted it to look like there was white watercolor behind it. To tell you the truth, I tried man

Altering Patterned Paper and More!

Hi there! Samantha here again, and I'm sharing this super FUN card I made using lots of products that can be found RIGHT HERE in the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop !! :) For my card today, I used the EXCLUSIVE stamps designed by the amazing Shanna Noel that can only be found at the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop ! Love it!! I also used patterned papers from three , count that: 1, 2, 3 different 6x6 paper pads! lol! I used Allison Kreft Hello World , DIY Simple Stories and Echo Park Capure Life ! :) Honestly, I am a 6x6 paper pad ADDICT and there are sooooo many in the shop! I never check out without getting another one...or two...  *whistle* I altered the patterned paper by spraying on and spritzing on it with lots of fold mist! Totally adding to the already BOLD and awesome pattern! I used this super AMAZING die from Memory Box for those cool clouds!! LOVE! I used a strip of washi put on the side over some patterned paper and then heat embossed the sentiment!

Sunshine and Happiness

Hello there friends!! Its Chitra here with my last DT post!! :( Here is my card for you... I have used this super gorgeous die cut feathers from Kelly Purkey Second City collection from Basic Grey , I added glue to just the paper feathers as the 3 feathers on the left are all vellum so I added glue only behind the sentiment for the vellum feathers, the sentiment is from Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine stickers . For the background I flicked some red glimmer spray mist, I also added some sequins for embellishment. Hope you liked my todays card. And finally I want to thank Vanessa for this amazing opportunity, I really really enjoyed my time here. Thank you so much. Hugs, Chitra

Mr. Roboto

Hi Everyone!  I've not been in my craft room much lately, but every time I do enter I immediately reach for my lawn fawn goodies.  I needed to make a birthday card for a little boy and thought the Beep Boop Birthday set and matching dies were perfect! I used the Spring Showers lawn cuts dies and the  Grassy Borders  die to make a cute little scene.   I colored in the robot using some copic markers and added a little wink of stella glitter to the balloons. I decided to not add a sentiment on the front of the card since the scene implied a birthday celebration.   This was my last post with BRI and I just want to say thank you to Vanessa.  Her store is amazing and she is a great small business owner.  Please continue to support her store.  I hope you enjoyed. --Nicole

Welcome Sweet Baby

Hi, Joann here with my last DT post! I decided to create a cute baby girl card using some new Lawn Fawn products from the store . I took the largest die from the   Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables  and cut some vellum with it. I took the Argyle Backdrops stamp set and stamped by background with some Versa Mark and Gold Embossing Powder. I used the 2nd largest heart from the Snow Day stamp set and stamped a few hearts with some Avery Elle Orchid Pigment Ink. The tag was cut twice, once from vellum and once from pink card stock using the Tag, You're It Die and customized my sentiment using Milo's ABC's stamp set with Versa Mark and Gold Embossing Powder. I then took some gold card stock and used Finley's ABCs Dies to cut out "BABY" to finish off my tag. Finally, I just added some foam adhesive behind my tag, placed a bow on top and called it quits, lol! It's so hard to believe that this is my last post as a Butterfly Reflections Ink DT

DIY Home Decor

Happy Tuesday lovelies, Danielle here!  I hope you have had a great weekend and are ready to be inspired.  Today I have for you a DIY Home Decor Piece.  Vanessa sent me some of the Dina Wakley Medium Paint with my last DT package.  So I have been dying to play with it and had the perfect idea.  These thin canvases have been laying around my scrap room for a while.  I decide it is the perfect time to use one of these bad boys.   I started off priming the canvas with Gesso.  Then I mixed some Distress Ink with Matte Embossing Paste to create sand.   Next I mixed the Dina Wakley Paint with Extra Thick Glossy Embossing Paste to create the background.  The Paint is so smooth and creamy!!   For the Flamingos I cut them out of the Websters Pages paper from some dies I had laying around. They came out adorable!!!  I used a marker for their eye and mouth.  I added some glittery embossing powder to the sand and melted it with the heat gun for some extra texture.   To adhere th

Is it a Bag or Is it an Envelope?

Hello, Butterfly Reflection, Ink friends! What better way to start off the new week with a new BRI project!   I have always used treat bags for...well, treats! But the idea came  to me to turn it into an envelope for a card.     I love that the glitter stars add so much texture to a simple treat bag. A simple paper banner is added to the bag to act as a closure. A simple sentiment is stamped on the bottom of the banner.  To finish the envelope, I added a couple different embellishments (the heart and the enamel dots).   Supplies from the BRI shop : Cosmo Cricket- Treat Bags My Mind's Eye - Enamel Dots and Mildred Paper Pad Waffle Flower Crafts - Bowtiful Stamp Set Heidi Swapp - Clear Heart Embellishments   Have a wonderful day! Fun little gift bags...

Hey crafty friends, this is Kristy and today I'm here to show you some fun little gift bags I made using the NEW Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag Lawn Cuts die . Here are the items I used: This die is soooooo versatile and so easy to use! I used my cuttlebug to cut out the 2 pieces needed. I also used the circle in the Stitch Banner dies. I LOVE how they pair a stamp and die set! It makes crafting super easy! ;) For this goody bag I used the You're a Hoot stamp set and die set . I stamped out the pieces using Hero Arts inks . Then I used the Lawn Cut dies, no fussy cutting here! Look how cute!!! I put everything together using regular adhesive and some pop dots for dimension! Add a little bit of twine, and done! This goody bag went together sooooo quickly that I decided to try a Christmas themed one with the NEW Scripty Joy Lawn Cuts die. I cut it 3 times and glued the layers on top of each other for dimension. I used

Hello Beautiful!

Hi Guys!  The new Shimelle collection is just so bright and cheery.  The 6x6 paper pad had so many beautiful patterns I couldn't decide which one I wanted to use to make this card for a friend.  So, I did one of my favorite techniques and cut strips of different patterns and glued them on a diagonal to make my own unique background paper.   Then, I used the Thickers and sticker book from the collection to embellish the front.     I love the color combo of this card!  Hope you enjoyed --Nicole

Lawn Fawn "You Warm My Heart"

Hi, Joann here! I'm bringing you another card using the new Lawn Fawn stamp set and dies that I used on last weeks card. I'm totally in love with this set and I'm really loving my copic markers right now! Here it is... I used the 2nd largest die from the Lawn Fawn  Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables for my center piece. I stamped my images using  Lawn Fawn Snow Day Stamp Set with some  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used my copics to color them in.  I stamped my heart with some  Avery Elle Cherry Pigment Ink , added a little of  Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush  and used the  coordinating  die to cut it out. I  also stamped my scarf on vellum with some Versa Mark and heat embossed it with some white powder and used the coordinating die .  I covered my base with some designer paper from  MME 6x6 Metallic Paper Pad , and finished it off with adding some foam adhesive to the center piece of my card, some red twine and red pearls.
