Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi there! Amber here today with a card using some fun new MFT goodies!! I thought this week's MFT Sketch Challenge looked so fun so I pulled out the new Birthday Wishes and Balloons stamp set for the big tag, which was cut out with the largest from the Stitched Tags Dienamics. The Birthday Wishes and Balloons stamp set has a companion die set to make cutting out a bunch of balloons a breeze! That's the route I wanted to go, but then changed direction last minute :) I grabbed my Blueprints #14 Dienamics for the flower pieces and the leaves. To finish the card off I added some turqouise and white striped twine, some clear sequins, and some black paint splatter! Here's the fun sketch I used, Sketch #237 on the MFT Card Challenges Blog Thanks for popping in today, hope you have an awesome Friday!!!!!!!!!!! ~~Amber~~

Thinking of You

Hi there! Amber here :) I recently got some of the new Wplus9 goodies and just LOOOOVE this Watercolor Anemones stamp set! It has a coordinating die set too, which makes this amazing stamp set even more versatile! I stamped the blooms in Daffodil ink by MFT and a blue ink from Mama Elephant. The "thinking of you" sentiment is from Watercolored Anemones and the "smile" die is from WPlus9's Flower Doodle dies.   The stamp that I stamped in the center of the blue flowers is from Avery Elle's Petals and Stems The little binder clip in the top corner is from Heidi Swapp . See those black specks? I used my handy dandy spritzer tool from Ranger and a black Tombow marker and spritzed some black specks on the card, it really gave it that fun little extra detail I like! I thank you for stopping by today and hope you have a super fun Thursday!!

Have a Beautiful Friday!!

Hello Friends! It's finally Friday...my favorite day of the week:) I have to work, sure,  but I'm 1) Thankful to have an awesome job that I love, and 2) I have the next two days off, wooooohoooo! Today I have a quick little card to share! It might look like it took awhile, but it only took about 15 mins to make! The wonder of watercolor:) Using the inspiration piece from The Card Concept and these fabulous new stamps from Wplus9, Doodle Buds! I really really really really really love this stamp set! I mean doodle buds? You're speaking my LANGUAGE! This set has coordinating dies too, so fun!  To create this piece, I stamped the images in Versamark on watercolor paper and embossed them in white ink. Then I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors to color it all in. The tag is from MFT's Stitched Tags dies and the sentiment also from Doodle Buds. This is a really simple card, but I think it's one of my faves! Those colors just...gah!!!  Thanks...

Your Time to Soar

Hi there! Amber up today with...you guessed it...a watercolor card, lol! Once I'm hooked on a technique, I don't come up for air apparently, lol!! I have a quick one to share today, super simple and lots of fun! I started off with a 3.75x5 piece of watercolor paper. I cut an adhesive sheet with a circle die and stuck the adhesive sheet down on my watercolor paper. **Disclaimer: This was just an experiement, hadn't expected it to come out so well**  Once the paper was stuck down, I pulled out my Gansai Tambi Watercolors and brushed three shades of blue on the paper. I hit it with my heat too and then pulled the tape away and had my negative circle with colorcolor paint around it! You can see where the watercolor seeped under a little bit, but that's okay with me! In my art journaling and mixed media escapades, I've learned to embrace little mistakes and turn them into something great!  I took out my doodle pens and scribbled circles around the negat...

Be Joyful

Hi there! Amber here with a quick watercolor card to share! I stamped the large framed floral from Neat and Tangled's Gardenia Blooms Journaling Card stamp set! I started by stamping the framed image in versarmark ink on watercolor paper and embossing with white embossing powder. Then I took my Gansai Tambi Watercolor set  (out of stock but they have been re-ordered!) and colored the framed image in. These watercolors are my favorite EVER! The colors are so bright and vivid, you just have to try them. You'll love them:) The best feature is that you can take each of the individual pots out of the pallette! So cool! I embossed the sentiment, also from the Gardenia Blooms Journaling Card stamp set, in black embossing powder . The striped paper is from Crate Paper's Pool Side paper collection. To finish the card up, I tied some twine around the card and added a sprinkling of sequins.  I hope you enjoyed my card today! If you need some retail therapy, ...

Floral Hello

Hi there! Amber here today with a fun floral card to share with you! I used the amazing floral set Petals and Stems from Avery Elle! I think this is one of my favorite floral sets EVAH! I pulled out out my Hero Arts Pool to Navy  and Butter to Orange Ombre inks to ink up the big bloom and the yellow/orange bloom! I used MFT Limelight and Jelly Bean Green ink for the leaves.  The tag is from MFT's stitched tags and the "hello" is from Avery Elle's Simply Said Hello.  I finished this card off with some black and white twine and some clear sequins! Thanks so much for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day!

Hello Friend!

Hey'o!! Amber here today with a quick card sharing some new Altenew!! This is a pretty new-to-me stamp company and I'm really loving the sets I've bought so far! You might have seen this fun little card set I created earlier this week for my blog, but if not, here's another quick share! I watercolored some pieces of cardstock and then stamped the florals from Persian Motifs in a tone-on-tone ink. Next I white embossed the Hello sentiment from Halftone Hello . The "how are you" sentiments are also from Halftone Hello . Here's another super quick card I put together using the same two sets! I really like this one because it's so simple! I just stamped the florals from Persian Motifs and kept them black and white. I added the lime green cardstock for a pop of color and the Hello is from Avery Elle's Simply Said Hello Elle-mentals . I really love that font and the huge size! The "my friend" is also from Halftone Hello ...

Have a LOVELY day!

Goooood morning! Or Afternoon, to you friends! I'm here today with a fun little card I created, just for YOU! I used Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds for this cards. I have had this set for awhile and just love it so much! I started by embossing the flower bunches in white embossing powder on a piece of Ranger's Watercolor Paper. Next, I grabbed 3 of my Tombow Watercolor Markers and just scribbled some color on the image. When I applied the wet paint brush, magic happened:) I really really really love watercolors :) I heat embossed the "lovely" on a strip of vellum and then stamped the rest of the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink . Using MFT's Speech Bubble die , I cut a curved white panel and stitched a piece of black striped paper just on top of it. The paper is from Avery Elle's Neutral Collection 6x6 paper pad. I added my sentiment panel on foam tape, some black and white twine, some sequins, and that wrapped it up! Thanks so much for s...

I have loved Vanessa's store for a while and LOOOVE her selection and amazing fast shipping! Coast to coast she gets me my order in 2 days, gotta love that :) I have been stamping for about 10 years now.
