Jump for Joy Wiggly Wobble Card!

Hi crafty friends! Have you ever made an action wobble card? It's been around for a while and it's a simple concept-- stick an image on a wobbly spring and watch it wiggle jiggle! This cute hedgehog from the oldie-but-goodie Lawn Fawn set Jump for Joy was perfect for my wobbly card today! You can buy action wobble springs or you can make your own! Here is a short video tutorial I made so you can make your very own action wobble.  I love the idea of jumping into a pile of fall leaves, but where I live, most of our trees do not change colors and I don't get to make big piles of leaves. So I will just make a fall birthday card about it! There are several stamp sets out there with lovely leaf pile stamps (like Mama Elephant's Jump for Joy ) but I decided to use masking to create my own big pile of leaves. I colored all the images with Copic markers, and then I fussy cut the leaves and die cut the hedgehog. For the background, I first ink blended the sky with Distress ox...

Video Tutorial - Lawn Fawn - Jump for Joy - Watercoloring a Fun Fall Scene

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful day! :)  I'm honored and thrilled to announce that I have been asked to join the Butterfly Reflections, Ink  design team and today is my first DT post :)  I'm so excited so without further adieu, let's get started :)  I created a video tutorial for my card today and here it is: (To view on YouTube, click HERE ) And here are some pictures of my card: To create the background of my card, I used my Gansai Tambi 36 set Watercolor Paints  (red, orange, and yellow) to paint the background.  I then used my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Pearlescent Paints  to create the gold shimmer effect on the background.  Next, I colored all the critters from the adorable Jump for Joy Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn  using my Zig Markers and a Detailer Watercolor Brush .  To color the fox, I used Brown, Red, Gray, and Light Gray.  For the Hedgehog, I used Dark Brown, Brown, Light Bro...

It's a happy day

It's a happy day! Yes indeed cause it's Friday and I don't have to work my part time job this weekend. Whoo hoo!    Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by, Gladys here and I have this fall card to share with you today. My neighborhood is full of maple trees and everyday the leaves turn into a bright red color. I just love it! I didn't get to experience the seasons growing up because I lived in Hawaii which was not bad at all. =) But as much as I love the warm sunny weather I also enjoy the cooler temperature and fall colors.    I built a simple scene for this card with two critters from Lawn Fawn Jump for Joy stamp set. I also added a few dies from My Favorite Things.   For my background I blended pine needles , evergreen bough, cracked pistachio  and squeezed lemonade distress inks. I die cut the trees and distressed it with aged mahogany, abandoned coral , fossi...

Fall is here/You're cool

Hello friends!! Gladys here (Instagram:crafty_m0chi) and I'm so excited to be back on Butterfly Reflections Ink blog to share with you my first design team project. I'm so honored to be part of this amazing team with a group of talented ladies...Woot woot! :) So let's begin with not one but two cards to start off the weekend. The Lawn Fawn fall/winter collection are just too darn cute so I had to get my hands on them. One of my favorite is the  Leafy Tree  backdrop which comes in portrait or landscape version. It has a semi oval shape to use as a hill and two types of leaves. I decided to make two scenes using this versatile die. Fall is one of my favorite season because of the warm colors which is what I wanted to show on my first card. For my card panel I colored it with distress inks in  abandoned coral , tattered rose, and antique linen. Once my card panel was completel...
